I have had an IPod for awhile ... then I moved from Indiana to California and no longer have my own computer. So, on my old Ipod, I have just been leaving the same music on there and just charging it by plugging it into the wall. The reason for this? My roommate has an Ipod and ITunes already on his computer. Now my parents got me a Nano for Xmas and I want to set this all up for myself. However, when I downloaded ITunes, thinking it would create a new session for myself, it pulled up my roommates music. Anyone have any idea what I need to do to stop this from happening? So that when I go into ITunes, his stuff does not come up? Or when I got to upload music to my IPod, I dont get his music?

Would truly appreciate any help! Thank you!

jag will come in here and one up me probably, but I think you'll just have to sync your nano with a playlist of your own music.

I kinda figured it out. ITunes recognizes it as a different IPod. And since our computer is set up with 2 different user accounts, it makes things a little easier. Thanks to all those who helped, just Master Chief ....

You set it up like I would have suggested; separate user accounts on the computer. Nice job. Enjoy!
