is black mask still alive? because in the book he talks about catwoman killing him (i can't remember the line, sorry), so is he still alive, or was he talking about something from before and he is officially dead.

Catwoman shot Black Mask in the face in issue 52, killing him. I haven't seen him reappear since.

In one of the OYL stories a detective shows Slam Bradley a photo of Black Mask after he'd been shot. He says the jaw is completely gone.

He is very much dead, but obviously by comic book standards, so he could return I guess.
