1. Like Cable has in the comics books, a waste management program where the garbage is simply vaporized. No landfills, just shoot it with a laser.

2. A postal service that's based off of underground vaccums (like the ones at banks). We'd have to do a lot of groundwork and it would take a looong time to see a profit but it'd be worth it in the end.
