Mark Brooks

i've seen mark brooks' art in a few ultimate annuals, as well as new x-men, and i was really impressed. at first glance, you see he's really influenced by joe mad and manga, but after seeing his website, i've got to hand it to the guy. his line work is clean. he's amazing. and his colorist don't hurt, either.

I've known about Brooks, and I do like his style, although it is not appropriate everywhere. However, his first ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL impressed me to the point where if Bagley ever decides to call it a day on USM (probably whenever, if ever Bendis leaves), Brooks would be my first pick to replace him. His style seems to fit young, energetic heroes.

yes, i agree. apparently there is/was a spider-man mini he was working on that was supposed to come out in march. you know of this?
