He sounds like he´s had a bit of the liquor, hehe... But I agree, that´s the shot that was missing to get people fired up for this.

The reason for starting this thread is very simple. When the first full trailer came out Mark, nic guy BTW, had a few reservations based on the footage he'd seen.
As usual the Superman Revenge Squad, hot to spread any negative thoughts from industry pros that they can find to validate their feeling, glommed onto it. It was spun into a Mark Millar hates Superman Returnsthread.
I just wanted to show that a person can, given an opportuinty can change their mind. If they're open to it.

i dont know why you all are even angry at him.

he was only concerned about teh action in the movie.

I don't.
It's just funny to me sometimes. I read the various threads on these boards and i don't really post that often because of the things I know. It just boggles the mind that so many people with little or no information prejudge things.
it's actually hilarious some of the stuff you guys come up with to complain about.

I respect Mark Millar and his work, he can have an opinion just like any of us, and change his mind like many of us have. The problem is I dont believe his opinion is anymore valid than anybody elses. That's fannytastic that he likes the trailer and now thinks the movie is great. I am glad he will enjoy it but truthfully, it doesn't matter to me, just like it didn't matter when he thought the movie was going to tank because of the 1st trailer.

He can go down a few beers with Sandy Collara and Alex Ross.

This begs the question: Why post in a thread titled "Mark Millar's thoughts..." if you REALLY don't care? Just so you can tell everyone you don't?

He did it because people are ripping Millar, and Showtime was just giving his calm opinion on the subject...essentially he's just telling people to ease up :D

Really, I like to hear what guys like Millar and Ross, who have made a MAJOR impact on the Superman mytho's have to say. Will it affect my opinion or excitement for the film? No. But it is interesting to hear what they look for in a major Superman film. We on this board give and take such opinions all the time. So having a thread like this is well and good, and whether anyone cares or not is up to them

Yes, that is exactly why I would post in the thread? That what the board is for right? Opinions. So if people can post and say, "I care about his opinion", Than I can say "I don't care about it". Just like Mark Millar gets two threads, one thread of how he doesn't like the movie based on trailer 1 and another how he has changed his mind based on trailer 2.

If you pay attention to my post, I am saying that everyone's opinions are valid. Mine, yours, and Mark Millars but none of our opinions are more valid. Just like you shouldn't take my opinion as gospel, but I certainly have the right to post it. Or should I not because your fighting the good fight?

What's the point in posting "Everyone's opinion is valid, but I don't care about Mark Millar's opinion either".

Just because you CAN post in a thread, doesn't always mean you SHOULD. If you don't care, great, move along then.

Everybody's opinion is valid, BUT NOT MORE VALID than anybody elses. Don't twist my words. You are barking up the wrong tree. Here it is again:

Just like it shouldn't matter so much to you whether or not I post in this thread about Mark Millar's opinion. It seems like you're saying if I don't have anything good to say than don't post at all, but that couldn't be true because it would go against your crusade to even the boards out? Interesting.

I don't have to move along anywhere my friend. If you don't like the fashion in which I represent my posts than ignore them. What gives you the authority reccommend what threads I should post in, that's a little odd if you ask me.

I am waiting for anybody else who has a problem with what I posted, another poster, a Mod maybe?

Righteous indignation. How appropriate.

I'm not interested in an "internet showdown" with you. Your post still does not make sense, as I can just as easily highlight the second half of that paragraph to bolster my point. But I digress. Feel free to post in ANY thread you choose to, whether you "care" or you "don't".

Also, because I helped steer this thread off course, I will try to "Right the ship".

I think Mark Millar has always WANTED the movie to succeed, and it speaks volumes that he can post about how excited he is so soon after saying how nervous he was.

Either am I, and if you would ask any number of posters, that is not my thing. Telling people what threads to post in isn't my thing either. It makes perfect sense, I am saying Mark Millar's opinion is just as valid as anybody elses on the boards. I am saying that it isn't more or less valid because it is Mark Millar. I am saying that I don't care about his opinion either way, but he of course is entitled to have it. You are trying to make it seem like it is a contradicition, which it's not. Somebody can have a valid opinion which they are entitled too, without others ageeing with it or caring right?

I thought the point of the boards was to agree and disagree, whether negative or positive, without being told you can't post here. I thought that is what you've been preaching?

Ok, last post on this matter period.

I never said you CAN'T post in a thread, did I? No, I asked what the point is in posting in a thread that you don't care about, that's all. You obviously missed my point, and I was waiting for you to grasp this: Why waste the time to post in a topic saying "I don't care about this topic"?

To repeat myself, if you don't care , great, move along. Maybe someone else does?
