Martin Scorsese Directing Hugo Cabret

Marty's just a little guy who sounds like he's had too much caffeine.

Exactly. He's too adorable to ever be creepy. Plus, now whenever I see him, I can't help but remember this dog:

Which just further makes me go "awww."

Well, actually filmed I guess. Aren't most done in post?

I am still waiting for an answer dark_b. You made fun of the young girl.

I can't believe I'm citing this anywhere near a thread on a Martin Scorsese movie, but: Step Up 3-D was shot in 3-D, wasn't it?

Also, Saw 3-D and My Bloody Valentine?

I think My Bloody Valentine was shot in the "old" 3D technology, not the same tech that Cameron used on Avatar. Don't know about the others, though.

modern films that were filmed in 3-d or just in general?

because back in the day durring the first couple of 3d crazes they were all filmed sterographically.

I think My Bloody Valentine was shot in the "old" 3D technology, not the same tech that Cameron used on Avatar. Don't know about the others, though.

My Bloody Valentine was shot with the RED One camera, which is what was also used to shoot Lussier's next film Drive Angry.

And Hugo Cabret will no longer be released December 9, 2011 or be released through Sony Pictures. Instead, Paramount will release the film November 23, 2011. The reason for this is that GK Films wanted a Thanksgiving release date, which Sony couldn't provide. So Sony let GK Films take the film over to Paramount.

First look at Johnny Depp in the movie:

Wait, so Depp is NOT in the film?

Damn, I was so pumped about he's cameo.

From the movie's official twitter page:

The first trailer for Hugo Cabret will be attached to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

EDIT: Paramount said it's it's not official twitter account but they haven't deny if the trailer is attached to Harry Potter, so don't get too excited yet.

This movie is the reason why I won't completely write off 3D yet. The fact Scorsese is interested in this and uses it says something I think. I'm curious to see how it comes out.

So right now we've got a potential TDKR teaser AND a Hugo Cabret trailer attached to HP? As if I needed more reason to go see that movie, lol.

Sneider from Variety tweeted that they may change the title from Hugo Cabret to Hugo.

Did anyone else notice in my GK Films/OUTBACK story that Martin Scorsese's next seems to have been retitled simply HUGO.

Not to mention there's a trailer that was classified recently, the movie's title is Hugo and the studio that's releasing it is Paramount.

This is lame if it's true, first John Carter and now it's Hugo. :(

It's just called Hugo?

That sucks.

Hugo Cabret is such a badass name and title.

Hugo Cabret sounds classy and intriguing. Hugo sounds like a run of the mill-kids movie. Which I'm sure is what Paramount wants to promote, but selling it as a Scorsese movie for all ages is so much better.

*cough*I already have mentioned about the change of the title in my previous post*cough* :o

Anyway, poster's nice. Looking forward to trailer, I'm curious to see what Scorsese has done with this material.
