There are times when I wished I wasn't covering San Diego. Don't get me wrong, San Diego is a lot of fun, but it is work. As a result, there are tons of seminars I would love to attend but end up missing because we're working to get coverage to you. It would be great to just attend as a geek. If you've never been, I recommend it, as it's the Pop Culture Mecca, and there's always about 5 things on at any one time you'll want to attend.

This year is no exception, with loads of seminars planned, and the organising committee is in the process of revealing what's going to be going on over the course of the four main days.

Now, I've been suspecting for a while now that San Diego is where we could see an announcement on the future of Marvel Legends, and as the event has drawn closer, it seems more and more likely. Whether we'll see actual prototypes or not remains to be seen, but the next issue of ToyFare has a piece on the future of Marvel Legends, indicating that there's a chance. However, some indiciation of the future of Marvel Legends, and other lines has been given by this seminar that was revealed by the Comic Con organisers for the Saturday (2 weeks today)

2:00-3:00 Hasbro/Marvel: Marvel Legends. Spider-Man Origins. Superhero Squad and much more!— Find out what it’s all about at the first Hasbro/Marvel panel ever! Jesse Falcon from Toy Biz joins Hasbro team members Billy Lagor, Randy Shoemaker, and Brian Wilk. Don’t miss this opportunity to see a sneak peak of what Hasbro has in store for their spring 2007 Marvel line. Room 8

Now whether Marvel Legends will still be the same line we know and love remains to be seen (rumors are currently that it's very faithful). Spider-Man Origins sounds like a Spider-Man Classics type line and I'm not sure about "Superhero Squad"... sounds like a Spider-Man & Friends kids line. Of course, in 2 weeks time, we'll find out I was way off mark.

Anyways, it looks like this is where everything for 2007 finally gets revealed.

Found this on www.action-figure.com

I've got to admit it's getting better,
getting better all the time.

He didn't. But the panel includes him cause he is the Toybiz guy. So we can hear his thoughts on it.

The good news is that TB isn't going under or anything so TNA can keep going and they may get some other liscenses too. Which is good cause they really nailed it with LOTR. I hope ThaT IN THE FUTURE tOYBIZ (oR mARVEL tOYS) can get some more Major Movie licenses. Or Video games.

... well.... wrestling sucks so I dont need TNA stuff.... and for some reason I neve rgot any LOTR figs :(

Yeah I hope to see the ghost rider figures too.

I wanted the TB planned GR Figs.

They mixed Movie and comic characters.

We were getting a few GRs a Blaze, A new Vengeance, Old West GR, Scarecrow.

And wave one had a BAF GR figs while Wave 2 has a BAF Bike for GR.

Damn I wanted those.

Wow, im real excited about the new Spider-Man: origins line! Wonder what it will consist of?

I'd really like to see some of Spidey's classic supporting cast get the action figure treatment (movies non-withstanding); J.Jonah Jameson, Flash Thompson, Harry Osborn, Gwen and Captain Stacy, etc.,...maybe some villains we havent got yet, such as Big Man & The Enforcers, Molten Man, Hamerhead, etc.,...

Guess we'll find out soon enough!

I just hope that Hasbro really Star Warses the hell outta this. Keep the scale but make ever possible character.

I wouldn't mind 2 new guys per wave.....and they could do action featured too just (for the collectors) leave the new characters untouched.

Shield Throwing Captain America
Web Swinging Spiderman
Claw Slashing Scuba Gear Wolverine
Hulk Smashing Hulk
Super Poseable Quicksilver
Super Poseable Armadilo

"Hulk Smashing Hulk"? As in a Hulk who smashes himself?

Movie beast? ...the hell? I understand doing what's "hot", but come on...I don't want hairy Frasier. There's a very good chance that I'm out at the end of the year, so at least I don't care about this line up. I may pick up emma and Iron Man, but that's it.

boo on having more ML's.... my wallet is tired :(

It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school
The teachers who taught me weren't cool
You're holding me down, turning me round
Filling me up with your rules.

I've got to admit it's getting better
A little better all the time
I have to admit it's getting better
It's getting better since you've been mine.

Me used to be a angry young man
Me hiding me head in the sand
You gave me the word
I finally heard
I'm doing the best that I can.
I've got to admit it's getting better
I used to be cruel to my woman
I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved
Man I was mean but I'm changing my scene
And I'm doing the best that I can.

I admit it's getting better
A little better all the time
Yes I admit it's getting better
It's getting better since you've been mine

Well that was kinda pointless. Thanks for that copy and paste, though.

Oh, man. Go to the main page at action-figure.com to get a look at a very early prototype for Banshee.

doesnt look that bad... looks like iron fists body to me :P

I think it's Ant-Man's, actually, which is a pretty good sign when you think about it. It means Hasbro's keeping the Toy Biz staff on for sure.

antman is iron fists body though isnt it? and yeah It's a good sign in the articulation/sculpt/scale departments for sure :P

No. Ant-Man was his own unique body sculpt, I think.

I'm looking at them both side to side now... I honestly can't tell :P they look so alike... but somewhat different at the same time.... But they are the same for the most part
