I refused to see the movie. I still haven't seen it. I know some people really liked it, but all I saw in the previews and all that I read about the movie said to me "A VERY OBVIOUSLY BAD SEQUEL THAT RUINS A GREAT FRANCHISE". Almost every bad thing that could be done in a sequel was done from what I could tell. Such as...
1. Introducing a large number of new characters with little development
2. Giving those new characters very few lines
3. Killing off someone from the previous movie(s) in the first 15 minutes
4. Killing off important characters from the previous movie(s)
5. Making the movie heavily reliant on special effects
6. Killing off characters that were just recently introduced in that movie
7. Not regaining important characters from previous movies with little or no explanation
8. Changing directors
9. Drastically changing an important character in a crappy way (losing powers in the case of X3)
But, X3 is a logical choice. Jesse Falcon said character choice is based on usually having at least one popular character, one character who is doing something in recent comics or movies, some collector-craved characters...Planet Hulk is recent, X3 Beast is in a movie, Emma is big right now in X-Men comics, Ultimate Iron Man is recent. Banshee and Hercules are those more vague characters that collectors want. Ok, so I can't explain why Banshee is in there. But X3 still sucks.
