Marvel Prepping Four Series and a Miniseries

I'd hope the use the medium to have at least a third of episodes on Kun Lun charting Danny's training from a young age to adulthood. With a movie they'd have to rush through that but with TV they can explore it more.

Maybe there will be a international partner in this? Or DVD/Blu Ray or other alternative means.

If there's an international partner for my country it won't be in the form of online streaming, it will be for TV.

And what of those of us without access to Netflix?

I don't have Netflix, but at least you won't actually need it if you know where to look for downloading TV shows. They'll all be ripped and upped in literally 10 minutes after the shows are up.

That's exciting. It is so embarrassing though how Marvel is just beating down DC in adapting their characters, esp ones that aren't that well known.

The best part about this is that Netflix/Hulu etc aren't slaves to ratings. So they are free to go as deep and gritty as they want. Its literally a perfect deal.

It's the way of the future for TV in general.

Maybe where you are.
You should be able to pick them up off Amazon or something, no? I believe the Australian region code is the same one as the European one

Hopefully they get some sort of partner for local release to make it less of a hassle on y'all

The only thing embarrassing is attempts by people to start a **** fight.

Nope, different region code.

Can't wait to see who's playing who. I think Daredevil is the most interesting for me because it's a reboot for the hero, but in tv form...and the tv version is still the MCU version, so they could show up in movies. Awesome.

Whose attempting to start a fight? Just stating a simple fact. Lets not be embarrassing and blow things out of proportion.

I really don't think they are gonna be too gritty with these shows. Darker than say Iron Man 3, but it's not like it's gonna feature the tone Punisher: War Zone had.

On BRDs? I thought they were

I know the DVD region codes are a disaster with a trillion different ones

I thought you meant DVD's. BR I'm not so sure about.

Yeah..a tone similar to House of Cards/Homeland is what i was talking about. Those aren't overly violent or crass but they are very mature in tone. That is what i expect Daredevil to be like

Well this does eliminate the AOS character of "Skye" as Jessica Jones.

It'll be dark when it needs to be. Hell, Agents of SHIELD had a dismembered hand on one of the episodes, not to mention floating corpses and other things. And with these shows having even more freedom, I can only imagine how dark it might get.

Then why say it's embarrassing? Embarrassing to whom exactly? You think WB execs are sitting in their offices red face and crying they can't get a bunch of C-list characters to Netflix? Or was it another typical shot across the bow towards DC fans saying 'Hey, we've got something you don't have'? Your comment was a direct attempt to **** stir.

Haha sorry for the confusion. Yeah, DVDs probably wouldn't be. But I think BRDs are only coded into three different regions - the Americas, Europe/Africa/Australia and Asia. So as a worst case scenario that might be an option

Will these shows be limited or do they just have the first season guaranteed with the possibility of renewal? I know Defenders is limited, but what about Daredevil for example?

I think future seasons all depends on the viewers watching it. Netflix isn't ratings based but they still need people to be viewing it.

Considering I am a DC fan, more of one than Marvel, I wouldn't be attempting to stir NOTHIN. More like you are just over reacting to a simple comment, that's stirring the pot. It is embarrassing that DC can get barely anything off the ground beyond Batman/Superman when Marvel is making strides getting all these characters barely anyone knows about to the general public. And it probably is embarrassing to WB, not like they are going to admit it.

It's a 13-episode season of each leading into an undisclosed-number-of-eps season of Defenders for now. Future offerings will probably depend on viewers

Thing I don't get is why Netflix restricts its own original content. I can understand movies and TV from other studios, but this is their own stuff - just release it internationally. Take my money for christ sake.
