Marvel Prepping Four Series and a Miniseries

Well I hope Kingpin does appear, because not only would it be great to see him behind all of the crime, but I can imagine (if it were to get to this stage in the story) it would be fascinating to see a whole trial of Wilson Fisk in the courtroom. But would he ever get caught? I don't think he should be that easy to catch for the duration of the series until maybe the last season. Then perhaps they could have a trial.

And it would be cool if Fisk hires Bullseye to take out the opposing lawyer, Murdock, not knowing he's actually Daredevil.

And now that Maggie Q is free, I would love it if she appeared as Elektra in Daredevil if they don't snatch her up for Psylocke first in a future X-Men movie.

I think the fight choreography on AoS is already great, can't wait to see what they have planned for DD and Iron Fist. This s**t is so exciting.

Don't want to see Maggie Q as Elektra. We didn't even get a Greek-looking Elektra the first time round. I want someone who does actually look the part. I don't want a Eurasian Elektra.

I suggest Mia Maestro for the role:

She actually played Jennifer Garner's onscreen half sister in Alias, but she actually looked more like Elektra than Garner did. She's no stranger to action too, having been a spy in Alias.

Is it just me or is Jessica Jones more of a Luke Cage supporting character? I'm not complaining, I'm just surprised that she's getting a show over Black Widow, Punisher, Black Panther or Ghost Rider with regards to street level heroes.

Black Widow is already in the movies and Scarlet isn't going to do long term tv work unless it is some high premium type stuff.

Black Panther is probably being more looked at as a movie.

Not sure if they can pull off a special effects heavy character like Ghost Rider on a weekly tv show budget.

Perhaps Marvel or Netflix's weren't interested in a punisher tv show.

Maggie Q as Elektra is...odd. Especially given Elektra's strong Greek heritage.

Ya I know I just think she would do great in the role. Unless they got an actress who was or looked Greek, I rather have Maggie then them simply white washing her.

Bring on Daredevil Season 2, Heroes For Hire, Moon Knight, and The Punisher for Phase 2! :woot: Yep, not getting ahead of myself at all... :oldrazz:

I do hope that Daredevil turns into a multi-season thing, though. I'd love it if, say, the first season was an origin, leading up to Daredevil earning his "Man Without Fear" nickname after saving the Kitchen from Mr. Fear, the second season featured a gang war between Kingpin & the Owl (featuring Kingpin's assassin, Elektra), and the third season brought Bullseye in for the big death of Elektra story.

We need a few separate casting threads for each of these series and their respective characters.

Yeah a subforum of some sort is needed. Too much to talk about. casting, Showrunners, possible plotlines etc.

I think a general Defenders subforum would be good to talk about all 4 series and wouldn't be surprised if one happens when casting starts.

Fantastic news! I don't have Netflix, but I'll get an account for this. Most hyped for Daredevil.

I prefer a general MCU TV series forum, since there's the possibility that these could still crossover with AoS.

This is driving me nuts. I can't wait. I think I'm more excited for this TV stuff than the future movies. MCU just keeps on getting bigger. Punisher, Shang-Chi, Moon Knight, and Ghost Rider for TV phase 2 please.

how do these guys form the defenders? the defenders i know of are uber powerful guys like dr strange, namor, hulk, and silver surfer

This thread has exploded over the past 24 hours... going to take time to read.

Two of the Defenders are owned by Fox (Silver Surfer) and Universal (Namor). Hulk is more associated with the Avengers in MCU (but don't rule him out for this if Ruffalo is willing to do TV) and Dr. Strange looks like he's headed for the movies.

They might be going for the ultimate defenders, who to my knowledge generally didnt that've powers and just put on costumes to stop street level crime, though obviously these defenders won't be played off as jokes like they were in the ultimate comics.

And Valkyrie. And they usually fought cosmic-scale threats and were a match for the Avengers.

Maybe Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell will show up.

So we're going to get a black superhero and female superhero headlining their own tv series. Good work Marvel. :)

The fact that we will likely see Jeph Loeb involved with the Defenders has me concerned. I hope his role is only as a figurehead

Yet Wonder Woman is just too hard to make work in film or television. :o

Seriously, though, it is nice to see these characters get a chance. Not just for diversity, but because they're awesome characters. Bring on Blade (or Tomb of Dracula featuring Blade), Daughters of the Dragon, and, of course, Squirrel Girl! :yay:

I think we may see Misty Knight in Iron Fist.

Yeah he's the only aspect of this i don't like. That dude ruined Marvels animated division, and his fingerprints are all over Agents of SHIELD as well. Hope he stays in the background
