To be fair, a hero shooter with Marvel superheroes was begging to be done.

And coming up with new characters will be easy. They just need to develop their in-game abilities. No need to create characters from the ground up.

It might come to consoles down the road but, considering this is by NetEase Games, the game will die after a few months so you console players won't miss anything ultimately.

I registered for the closed beta. I'll let you all know how average the game is...

It depends how much interest the game generates.

If it's megapopular then I doubt Marvel/Disney will just let it slip away.

I just realized the Lin Lie version of Iron Fist is on there, interesting. Wonder if this means something for the MCU.

I genuinely hope this game is a success.

At first I didn't care much for it, but I'm seeing people who played the beta version saying it's pure and genuine fun.

The only "issue" right now for me is a very subjective one: the roster. But I'm sure they will be adding more characters and there will be room for my favorites as well.

If this is a success, Marvel would be wanting to release more games like this one and it won't bode well to single player narrative games.
