What would it be like? How would Marvel approach the mythology.

Not too different from how Webb and Sony are, with the exception that the science of Spidey's villains would tie into the overall plot of the Avengers, which Spidey would naturally be a part of.

Me personally? I think the smart money would be a Spider-Man tv series. They might even be able to do that now, since they have all the TV rights, even with the Sony films going on. I would approach the mythology even more similar to the Ultimate Universe than Sony's Spider-Man, or the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, with Spidey kind of the sort of first line of defense against the extra weirdness that gets out in NYC. SHIELD being more of a cleanup crew and preventative measures. Why not get even closer and at the same time differentiate from Sony's Spider-Man and use Miles Morales?

But in a mythical world where Sony's Spidey didn't exist? I don't see it as much different from the way it is now, he'll just be an Avenger, and there wouldn't really be the big build up to the Sinister 6, per se.

Spidey is fine where he is, if anything Sony should have Daredevil too.

He'd be funnier. Other than that I don't think it would be much different than how Sony is doing it. They probably wouldn't have used the basketball costume in the first movie though and they wouldn't have cut out Curt Connors' family from the movie though.

I would hate for all his villains to be tied into the MCU.

I don't think that Webb's Spider Man is that tonally different. I could see it fitting into the MCU. Heck, they had a ten foot tall Lizard man in the first film and a blue naked Jamie Foxx in the second one.

If we're getting Spidey in the MU, then a few things:

-More humour is a good thing

-Keep the mech webshooters

-NO ORIGIN! Have a simple up to speed cliff notes thing. The adventure should start with him well into being Spidey, but still a young man out of school.

-Have the Vault be featured at times so we avoid the whole "What do we do with the villains? Sh...should we just kill them off?" issue.

I expect it to have references of the previously released MCU movies or at least mention Shield. I also expect cameos from other MCU characters.

It would be the same damn thing, but since it's Marvel, it's gonna be the best interpretation. :o

I bet they wouldn't get too much **** for redoing the origin story.

This!

In this Phase II era, Spider-Man would definitely have his wit and charm but there probably wouldn't be much more to it I think. I like where he is at Sony.

Why are people hoping to see him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Or Even wonder about it?
Spider-Man movie rights should not revert to Marvel any time soon

While I'd like it if the rights went back it's not necessary and actually helps keep Spidey out of the Avengers which I'd want even if he did go back to Disney. I don't mind them coming across each other's paths every once & a while but I never liked putting him in the Avengers. He's an outsider, even among the greater superhero community. It suits him.

After 2018 and the fourth Sony Amazing Spider-Man film(7th Spidey overall), I think Sony and Marvel will reach an agreement to have Miles Morales' version of the wall-crawler join the MCU.

Depends on the creative team involved. 'Marvel' doesn't mean anything. Barring a few mandates, if Alan Tylor made Iron Man 3 instead of Shane Black, it would've been an entirely different movie.

Agreed about the loner status

That's a terrable idea. That's like having a batman not Bruce wayne.
Why? Peter Parker has by that time been done twice successfully, and Miles Morales is a great character, and if they did it i'm sure they will keep Peter Parker as the past Spider-man as canon.

Peter Parker should always be Spider-Man. I've never been a fan of multiple characters being the same superhero.

The GA would certainly accept it more easily than having the exact same character rebooted yet again like what happened with TASM, Miles is a great character, and has already become known due to the publicity behind him, not that difficult to have him.
