I'm thinking it would be easier to just shell out $12 or whatever it is to download the extras from Live rather than try a complicated scheme of returning and re-purchasing the "Gold" version. Besides, I haven't seen the Gold version in any stores around me.

ok so ive just picked this up for my xbox and on the character select screen there are two teams at the back...one all in red and one all in blue and its the hero/villains packs....

do i have to pay to unlock these or are they unlockable through the normal game?

If you didn't get the special edition that has them unlocked from the beginning, then you got the original version of the game, and you'll have to download the packs off XBL.

Can't wait for the second...I played through as Sabretooth...I feel unstoppable as him.

Me too. He takes out enemies in like 2 seconds. I recently found out how to use the special attacks so he's waaaaay better now.

His frenzy move while using the rage boost is absolutely insane. Even people with stronger immunity to physical damage get severely owned by it.

Now that Marvel has disolved their partnership with Activision, it hasn't been stated if their new deal with Sega will include a sequel to Ultimate Alliance, or any other projects aside from IM and TIH movie games. They already dropped the ball with the MMORPG game, so who knows....

I hear the characters will be able to use for team-up games.

Does Marvel still do TF comics?

Dreamwave does it now I think. They've collected the old Marvel comics and released them in trade paperback form within the last couple of years though.

Dreamwave did the Transformers comics years ago before they went under.

IDW Publishing has the Transformers franchise now. It's good stuff.

Thats what I'm waiting for ... went through the game for the 10th time the other day and its still as good as it was when I played it the first time... although I think that you'd get to play as namor this time round.... oh and Thanos and Galactus wud be 2 of the big bad guys!

I'm seriously still hooked on this game, ever since it came out. I don't know how to describe it, but I just can't get tired of the gameplay.

Where did you get this info from, because i read it in the Game Informer the Marvel and Activision's relationship is done. Now unless that was a false report, that's the info i based my comment on. If they are indeed coming out with those games, cool. I could be worng. I'd prefer Activision to handle these titles over any other company anyway. Well, i'd make am exception for Capcom!

Who do you enjoy playing as? My tag is k4tzm4n. I never playe online so I'm willing to give it a shot...I love the game as well, but it feels repetitive at times. Also, I REALLY wish they put more effort in to the audio. In boss fights there are multiple times where there's no noise and there clearly should be (galactus, frost giant)...Not to mention the audio freezes and loops. THat aside, love the game.
