Odin, the Wizard for me is very much undefined and changes per writer's whim.

See: His outrageous appearance in recent JSA where he took all the powers away from Billy and Mary for some unknown reason and suddenly turned Black Adam and Isis to stone.

The Wizard is cool, but he's a complete and total cipher. Is he aloof? Fatherly? Powerful? Not? Even Ordway clearly had no idea what to do with him when he was writing P of S. In the original Captain Marvel series, the Wizard actually died and was gone after giving Billy some powers.

Shazam is suppossed to be one bad mama jama in terms of power, but seems to always get the shaft somewhere.

Like when he roflpwned the Spectre, but the Spectre eats magic.

Or he contains some of the multiverse's greatest villans, and when they get out, they tend to be all sorts of trouble until he fixes it for them.
