So what? Shocker's name makes it close enough. If you want to get technical with it, then they should change his name to The Compressor.

Yes, I do. The masked, insulated look is more intimidating than the sunflower mask that Electro wears. Although I have heard from some fans that Electro's Ultimate look is far better. Never read the Ult version but he looks bald and in leather on my kid's videogame I believe.

The Joker and Doc Ock come to mind. And so does the Green Goblin's. Hated they didn't stay faithful to GG's look in Spiderman 1.

Yes, since you put it that way, I love Goblin's outfit. I always have.

I think that it would have worked in the movie because I hated that NASA look Raimi okay'ed.

Then we're half in agreement. However nothing about his comic look can be assessed if there weren't any costume designs that can be discerned from.

I just think the movie bailed when it could've come up with something more faithful.

I do like the Hydro-Man matchup. As far as Electro and the Torch goes, they both are just so raw. No real connection other than the elemental thing.


Just seems like it would be a great shootout.

Oh, also, updated Luke Cage (much prefer the simple street clothes look), and even Savage Dragon (either jeans and tank top or police uniform depending on the situation).

There's also varying degrees of silly. All actual "costumes" clearly can't be worn in real life, but there's one's that look dignified and one's that look stupid. Electro and Shocker's both fit into the latter category.

BTW, the "Shock" in Shocker's name refers to shockwaves, not electrical shocks.

And "silly" in regards to superhero costumes is a relative term. I think the Punisher's modern look is silly, but Spider-Man's costume is very cool.
