Well, it's not like they have gone into the specifics of how the virus can be transmitted. Maybe it is usually spread through biteing, but maybe it's in the saliva, and it just always enters the bloodstream that way. Maybe it can also be ingested. If the water supply were to become infected, it would stand to reason that Reed could have been infected that way. Another thing is that the virus only seems to keep heroes and villians alive, and that all the normal Joes die from it. We havn't seen any infected civillians in the book. Doesn't seem like its based on powers though, since we have seen unpowered people like Adrian Toomes as zombies.

It just pisses me off that they crossed over with a universe much more similar to the 616 than the Ultimate universe. It's a good story but come on.

Check Hulk's stomach. I do believe they were all eaten.

I think the reason why there are no civilian Zombies is, that they never had the chance to turn. Helpless civilians with no powers whatsoever probably just couldn't escape from the overwhelming force.

Someone like Spidey gets bitten but can still manage to escape and turns over time. A civilian? He gets eaten on spot.

When reading marvel zombies its best not to ask questions. Like how can a robot be a zombie or how can hulk bite off SS head.Its better not to think about it.
