Oh, come on, every sci fi franchise that has freaky aliens, the thought comes up now and then how interspecies boning would work. Or, depending on the freakiness of said aliens, if interspecies boning could work. It's a natural byproduct of sci fi geekdom. :o
 
Come on, Garrus is the sexy one and you KNOW it. And with that scar? Even better. :heart:

But you can have Garrus as a love interest if your Shepard is female. Why, I'm attempting to romance my first playthrough :awesome:

Nah, the alien stuff is the best part of Mass Effect's love stories. I hope in ME3, Wrex comes back and can be a love interest. For either gender. :awesome:

speaking of Garrus, considering the way Yeoman Chambers was talking about him, I half expect to walk into the forward battery after a mission and see her in there, bent over the console with Garrus giving her the business

Actually that's something I'd like to see more in Mass Effect. Well, not specifically Garrus boning Yeoman Chambers (I already called dibs on her), but I'd like to see some more interaction between NPCs. We get a little of that in ME2 with [BLACKOUT]the Miranda/Jack argument[/BLACKOUT], but I'd like to see more of it.
 
That would definitely be cool, and it seems like the next logical step in BioWare's worldbuilding. However realistic your interactions with your crewmates in ME1, it was always a bit awkward because they would never interact with each other unless you happened to be stuck in an elevator with them. It seems like BioWare has always taken the approach that the world should be deep but revolve around you, while other RPG devs (Bethesda, especially) take the approach that the world basically lives on its own without you until you actually talk to someone or do something.
 
Just encountered the stupidest glitch. I am in the quarantine section looking for Mordin, when I jumped over something. Now, I am on a whole different plane. I am above everything-basically the roof, and I can't get down! :(
 
I had a similar glitch on a random sidequest where I was exploring an old crashed ship teetering on the edge of a cliff. I had to restart.
 
You know what's been bugging me? When Illusive man puts the cigarette in his mouth, it'll sometimes be below his lip. Even when he gets it in there though, it looks really odd.

Dragon Age had a good amount of the npcs interacting without you.

As for the Tali romance, no I wasn't really interested in it in the first one - because she did feel like a kid sister. I just find the older more confident Tali appealing.

Plus its space and it cannot be space without some hot alien on human action. :fhm:

Garrus sidequest and Conrad spoilers:

I shot Conrad in the foot. :cmad: I hope he's in the next one.

Garrus is officially Batman/The Punisher and he is awesome for it. The part where Garrus/Shep kneecap the Krogans is awesome.

And the whole buildup to Liara was pretty funny. Every time somebody talked about her I was like "Liara T'SONI. I am looking for T'SONI." But yeah, I'm kind of glad I didn't romance her the first game seeing as how she turned out.

Has anyone received their preorder armor from Amazon yet?

I got mine this morning.

No game, yet. But the codes for the Iron Man...err, I mean Inferno Armor are.
 
I do like the armor customizations/modifications and that it actually changes the appearances of the armor
 
i miss the inventory of me1 to be honest. i hate how you had to delete stuff, but i miss it. they took away alot of the rpg aspects, but made a damn kick ass game none the less.
 
Yeah, the inventory thing was needlessly taken away. The system here is practically nonexistant. ME1 was too simple with Kessel 2 > Kessel 1 as the only difference but they could have had guns with different properties: extra cold damage vs. Extra damage to shields let's say.

Ah well.
 
I hear they made up for it by basically taking loot out of the game almost entirely, though. Which is kind of cool, in my opinion. Realistically, Shepard's not gonna be scavenging for better guns off of everyone he kills and handing the new ones out to his group after every fight.

I already did, I just would have prefer a streamlined inventory system to a nonexistant one.
 
Meh, everyone complains to high hell about they're inventory system. Makes sense to just subtract it.

Same with the elevators. I actually liked the elevators in ME1, but people complained to high hell about those too...so, I hear we get loading screens instead. Yay.
 
I do find it pretty strange, and dare I say lazy, of Bioware to throw out some of these things instead of trying to improve them.

P.S. Where can I find a frakking submachine gun? :cmad:
 
yea i loved the elevators...with the music and radio announcements, and the squad members friendly chatter
 
I like the news terminals more, and being able to talk to your squad at specific points is nicer. On the Citadel, Grunt insults human food. On Ilium, Thane appreciates the skyline for the first time despite living there for 2 years. Awesome. :up:

Love the banter between Joker and EDI. :D Damn, and I went down the relationship path with SubjectZero by accident, then had to call it off... now everytime I go to talk to her she tells Shep to f**k off. Yikes. :o I shot down Miranda, Tali, and now Jack... to stay faithful to Ashley. I didn't think I could do it. :cool:

Got everyone loyal and rockin their alternate outfits, Normandy fully upgraded and minerals coming out of my ass. I'm ready. :up: Just going through every planet to do every sidequest before I hit up the Omega relay. :heart:
