Mass Effect 2

I prefer a bigger cap level, something like fallout.

I hope the level cap isn't a sign that they cut the story in half. :(

Nah, DA's story was still pretty good length despite the cap

Yea now that I think about it, the first time I finished ME I was at like, level 34 or something, lol. I guess after Modern Warfare 2 I'm jaded.

Plus the ME2 is two-disc. Doesn't that usually mean that the game is pretty damn long?

Can you achieve that without the glitch? I know you get an achievement for reaching level 20 with all classes, so I assumed that was the cap.

I was level 22 when I completed the story. The game's length would have probably been shorter though if wasn't for certain weird design implementions though.

I've never ended the game under level 20 in three playthroughs, and my fourth playthrough won't be any different.

I certainly haven't hit 25. I'm not sure if I've hit 24, but I know at least one of the characters is 23.

am i the only one who thought dragon age was...well...crap?

Yes. The only person on the face of the planet, to boot.

Well, thinking about it now...I guess they could just extend the levels by having it take more XP to earn them. I'm finishing up my second playthrough, and just managed to now get to level 59.

But...it just kinda smells like the cap might get raised later on.

Personally, I'd like to visit Earth. Might be too much to ask, but that'd be cool. I really liked how large the Normandy SR2 looked massive as hell. Shep's bachelor pad looked quite cool, too.

I actually prefer lower level caps like Fallout 3. It forces you really consider which skills to work on and never lets you feel too powerful.

Im playing through on Vanguard right now....the game is definitely different when you can't use an assault rifle

The number of discs have no bearing on the length of the content.

With the way the gaming industry has been trending lately, EA's past practices, and the views of some on the DLC of Dragon Age I belive it is a valid concern. I see no reason to put down a poster because they voice it.

Yep, looking at the videos with the upgraded textures and character models/animations on top of all the dialogue and everything it makes sense they couldn't fit it all on a single disc.

I think the lower level cap mostly has to do with revamping the skills. I've noticed in videos the level up screen is simplified from the old one, there are less things to fill up.

I'm gonna be so pissssed if the ending is too much of a cliffhanger though, I'm sick of that s**t and it started with Star Wars. =/

the Citadel did get ****ed up something fierce in the first one....I look forward to roaming around there again

Hasn't Bioware mentioned The Empire Strikes Back repeatedly. I imagine a cliffhanger is in the works.

sure why not?? as long as I get to blow **** up and punch more people in the head

ME1's like $5 on Steam until tomorrow morning, if anyone cares. I bought it and I'm looking forward to playing through it again.

Yea, this game is an epic space trilogy, the universal law is that the second chapter must end the way Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back ended.

I wasn't putting Master Chief down...
It just doesn't make sense that the game would be short. Look at Dragon Age, the game's level cap was 20, and it wasn't short at all.

I think the cap's like 25 but.. yeah same difference. ;)

+1 post count.

Anyway, I don't mind the lower level cap there were a lot of level ups in Mass Effect that were pointless in that you only made incremental improvements to existing abilities.
