i preordered the CE at gamestop, went there last night and they lost it. my 70 bucks went to them, but no CE, so i had to buy the regular edition...basically out $130 for one game.

Wow, didn't they atleast reimburse you?
Either you did something wrong, or they literally just stole from you. So you paid for the collectors edition but they lost it, i get that, but why did you spend 60 dollars more to buy a regular edition? Why did you not just use the money that you spent on the collectors edition? Either you aren't telling the whole story, or the person working at Gamestop literally robbed you. If they were not able to give you the collectors edition you paid for, and you were willing, they should of just used that money on the reg edition and then given you the difference. I find it extremely hard to believe they made you pay for something they did not give you.
How does the special armor work based on classes? Does it incorporate light, medium and heavy?
Ha. I'm asking all these questions and I'll probably be playing this in less than 4 hours.
I even had the receipt. they scanned it and said no. this is not legit.
I mean, it's worth it for ME2, but don't let them steal your money. Yea man, shenanigans.I mean, it's worth it for ME2, but don't let them steal your money.
Anyway. O.M.G. Closing in on 6 hours. Today I went through a fresh playthrough of ME with a lvl60 character to have everything fresh in my mind, then hopped right into ME2 after. Such a seamless transition made it so much cooler, and made the changes much more noticeable. The intro was AAAHHHHHMaZiNG.
They dumbed it down into a shooter while still keeping the epic scope of the series. The controls flow so much better, they're not as stiff as they were. Moving around and aiming have been loosened up and tightened at the same time lol, when you get that first pistol in your hands and pop off a few shots... After the slow-ish combat from ME, it was a startling upgrade for the better. I'm a happy bumpkin. Everything is amazing. And the little details from my imported character, so cool.
Right before I stopped playing I had a drink with Dr. Chakwas, and reminisced about Kaiden and Jenkins. If you don't remember, Jenkins is the rookie who gets gunned down at Eden Prime during ME's prologue.I don't wanna spoil anymore little throwbacks but so far I've come across like, 5. Crazytown, I'm lovvvin it.
P.S. If you missed out on the special armors, don't worry about it, they're ugly in-game. With the customization you can do with normal armor they're only good for the bonuses. The Collector's Assault Rifle and the Terminus heavy weapon are badass though.

SONOFA....
This redeem code BS is extremely annoying. I got my Blood Dragon and GameStop armor ok, but the freaking Cerberus Network card code that I submitted on masseffect.com is apparently now tied to that account (which is under my damn gmail account) and not my windows live account.
So, I guess unless anyone knows a way to change my Windows Live ID without losing my gamerscore, ect it appears I won't be able to download the Cerberus Network for free...unless I'm over looking something.
