Mass Effect 2

I made the same mistake. It needs to be Tali or Legion iirc, Mordin's a medical scientist and therefore a bad choice to hack a door. Damn comics - make me throw all the sciences together. :cmad:

Although I found his death very sad. He couldn't hack the door so he was closing the blasted thing with his hands.

I managed to get through with no one dying. I sent Tali in to the vents, Garrus was in charge of the other squad. I used Jack as the Biotic shield, Sent Grunt with the Normandy Crew, and my team was Miranda and Jacob. We looked like an actual team too, because I matched the colors of Shepards armor to their alt. costumes.

I thankfully had a save from before the battle so I loaded it and sent Tali in this time and made it through without a scratch.

I don't even want to hear the chatter that was going through the radio from that. I found myself getting really attached to my team. REALLY attached. I would probably be in tears if I heard Mordin screaming for his life. :csad::csad::csad:

I was floored when it happened. He was easily one of my favorite characters and there was no way I was going to let him be the one to go down.

Yeah, I didn't use him much, but I always went and talked to him. The next time I'll probably use him more.

Apparently you can recruit Morinth if you're able to resist her mind-sex attempt during the quest (and kill Samara in the process) and you can cultivate a romance with her. And when you join with her you die and get a game over screen. :hehe:

Picking who to do what during the mission brought me right back to that gut wrenching feeling I got when I had to pick between Kaiden and Ashley on Virmire. :D They really delivered with that final mission, intense shenanigans.

I'm just assuming, but for everyone to survive I don't think loyalty is as important as their personal upgrades. Like Grunt's shotgun, or Jack's extra biotic damage.

Whenever any of y'alls get around to a new playthrough, don't upgrade and watch what happens to the Normandy... it's INSANE. :D

Yeah, I had no clue what I was walking into on Virmire. When I got to Kaiden dying, I screamed "WTF did I just do?!" I felt like I actually sent someone to their death. That's what I love about these games, you can actually get sucked into the world and the characters.

I'm going to not upgrade on my renegade then. I think it would be a very renegade thing to do if you just go in all "eff you guys, I'ma kick your ass with what I've already got!"

Chaotic stupid? ;)

Anyway, I really hope Garrus and Tali at the very least make it to the next game. At this point they're as much a part of the story now as Shepard and his most loyal crew members by far.

I just saw Mordin's last words if he dies while leading the fire team. He tells Shepard, "I held the line." :(

Yeah, Garrus and Tali should be the background characters for the ME3 cover, because out of all the crew members, they now have the most history and have had the most characterization.

I would seriously be in tears if I heard Mordin say that. Like I would need to pause the game and cry for a bit. There was one point where it looked like Garrus got shot in my game, but he didn't it was weird.

Mordin as he is dying says that his barriers couldn't take all that punishment so I'm guessing if they live but are still a bit winded looking their shields held up.

I'd imagine Tali could have died in my game, if I didn't hit the valves in time.

Legion is interesting to say the least, I had seen him mentioned in an interview, but I thought as just another enemy, not getting involved in the way that he does

I loved when he saw Shep and his head sort of widened out in surprise and then he sniped the Husks.

The game implies he's some kind of Shepard fan in that he seems shy about revealing why he specifically used the N7 armor.

Also for fun, bring Legion to the Migrant Fleet when doing Tali's quest. :hehe:

when you talk to him about
the armor and why he used it, I love his answer...."No Data Available", I guess that's Geth speak for I don't know...and I'll have to try that next playthrough...Im sure the quarians will love that

It certainly makes Tali look bad. "I would never bring active Geth aboard the Floatilla!"
And his interaction with Citadel security is priceless.

Paraphrasing,

SECURITY: We're on alert for Geth infiltration.

LEGION: The Geth do not infiltrate.

SECURITY: You should think twice before bringing your personal synthetic aboard. They're not allowed.

LEGION: The Geth do not intentionally infiltrate.

I just finished it. Everyone survived! This is easily one of the best games I've ever played. My only problem with it is that I now have to wait a minimum of 2 years before number 3 comes out.

Yeah, I also just finished it and the pain of waiting for Mass Effect 3 will be excruciating. This game was just simply amazing. Good thing there are other potentially great games to hold me over for the next 2-3 years. Now to start my paragon playthrough.

On my third playthrough, I think I'm going to see if I can get everyone killed. That'll be fun.

when you're all mining resources (which I find kind of fun), if you go to the local cluster, Uranus is depleted

friendly reminder
