Hey, anyone who pulls a gun out in a hostile zone is getting taken down. I don't care. :o

Anyone else bang Jack, suck face with Miranda and bang Tali? hahah it's great, my Renegade shepard is a pimp.

I romanced Miranda but sided with Jack in their disagreement and now Miranda's being a childish b**** and not talking to me. I can't wait until she dies horribly. :awesome:

I also tried to get the almost-kiss with Samara, but I didn't get the dialogue options for it. Possibly because I had gone down the romance path with Miranda already and hadn't gotten the Jack/Miranda argument to break up with Miranda at that point. So instead I kept doing the Renegade option and came off like a creepy would-be rapist who refused to take a hint. :hehe:

I was looking at my Paragon Shep and wondering why something seemed weird about him. Then I realized: He's pretty much Barack Obama with a beard. I didn't notice when I was creating his face, but I totally gave him the big ears and the steely gaze and everything. Freaky.

I think I'm gonna go with a close-quarters Vanguard for my first female Shep.

Mordin is avatar.

Statement fits.

Onto reverse genophage research.

:o

Took some doing, but I finally managed to get all the right people killed last night. Loyalty does not make things quite as predictable as I expected. I tried the biotic shield segment of the Collector base twice with Miranda as the biotic, a loyal Samara, and a disloyal Zaeed, and Samara got taken by the swarm both times. So stupidly annoying that the game seemingly wants Zaeed to survive so badly. In the end, it worked out like this:

- Kasumi and Mordin (both loyal) were my Oculus squad
- Legion (disloyal) died due to the lack of multicore shielding

- Thane (disloyal) was my tech specialist and got shot in the face for stupidly peering out of the door while it was closing
- Zaeed (disloyal) led the second fire team to ensure that the tech would die
- Samara and Mordin (both loyal) were my squad

- Miranda (disloyal) was my biotic shield
- Zaeed (disloyal) again led the second fire team, got gutshot, and died (and I cheered 'cause I hate that f***er)
- Grunt (loyal) escorted the half of the crew who survived (because I intentionally delayed going through the Omega-4 relay) back to the Normandy
- Jacob and Tali (both disloyal) were my squad and Jacob, surprisingly, got carried off by the swarm

- Miranda (disloyal) and Mordin (loyal) were my squad for the end battle and Miranda died after the Reaper destroyed our floating platforms
- Tali (disloyal), Garrus, Jack, Samara, and Kasumi (all loyal) held the line but Tali died because Grunt going off to escort the crew left the line relatively weak

Pretty cool. I haven't decided if I'm going to go for the "get everyone killed" run or take a break and try Dragon Age next.

I never had Miranda do the shield at the end. I got her to fall in love with me. :awesome::hehe::fhm:

I slept with Jack this time around and Miranda often annoys me, so it was nice to see her die. Kind of sad that it came right after she finally told the Illusive Man to stuff it, though. And that particular death scene just looks kind of creepy and weird, no matter who's in the "dying" position. They got all spazzy and then just go limp in Shep's arms.

I'll probably get that. Rogue VIs are always fun. Not a huge fan of the Hammerhead, but hopefully it's only a small part of the pack.

Just to spite your hope...

BioWare has stated the Hammerhead will be used to navigate the planet's outdoor areas en route to the objective points.

I liked the Hammerhead stuff. It was a nice departure for the normal gameplay in Mass Effect.

That's fine. I don't mind driving around in it, I'm talking about the actual missions from the first Hammerhead pack, where you have to collect crap and outrace the cold and spend several eye-glazingly boring minutes hopping around and shooting s***.

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/14/mass-effect-3-pulls-in-over-1-000-variables-from-mass-effect-2/

We'll have an interview with Mass Effect chief Casey Hudson for you soon, but we wanted to give you this interesting little tidbit from the interview. Hudson says, "We're pulling in probably over a thousand variables from Mass Effect 2 into Mass Effect 3 if you're importing your save game."

It's an impressive number to be sure, but keep in mind, they're not all reality-shifting choices. For example, Mass Effect 2 is slightly different depending on what advice you give to Rebekah Petrovsky regarding her baby (remember her?). So maybe not 1,000 earth-shattering variables.

Awesome. That's more than twice what Mass Effect 2 pulled from the first one. Also, I do remember Rebekah. :P

I'm really hoping that Mass 3 doesn't have the same import issue that the second one had where you couldn't import your data if it wasn't on the original HDD that you first saved it on.

Yeah, who cares if they're not "earth-shattering." They're tangible effects that you create by playing the previous games. That's awesome.

The gameplay mechanics changed enough between ME and ME2 to make them feel like very distinct games to me, but it certainly does feel like one giant story. This is the story of Commander Shepard, hero (at least) three times over in the war against the Reapers. Every decision s/he's made has consequences.
