Matthew McConaughey
That would be my choice, Jason Lewis looks very much like an ideal captain america. But I would give the "look" of Cap up alil bit for someone that projects energy much better in Matthew McConaughey.
I also think Matthew McConaughey has a strong character. He's very charming and a more rounded polished actor. Not only that Matthew McConaughey is not that young. I think Captain America should not be so young looking though. He should be the type of actor that could hold his own with the other strong actors in the film like Robert Downey and whoever else that's going to be in the film. I think a Captain America actor should be a sure deal in holding his own with whoever he shares the screen with. HEY ITS CAPTAIN AMERICA.
It's not all about looks but character. I think that's what made Robert Downey such a great choice for Iron man, even though he didn't look like the ideal Stark physically.
I think they should cast Captain America with the same ideas in mind.

Brad Pitt doesnt hit me as much as the leader type as Matthew McConaughey either btw. I don't think its a competition at all between the two.
I wouldn't flip if Jason Lewis was cast. I really think the guy that could have been a great Captain America also was the guy that is about to play Duke in GI Joe. I think Marvel missed the boat on that actor.. They should have picked him up quick.. Well that's how the cookie crumbles.
But all in all,, I swear Matthew would be a great choice!
