When you really think about it, is anyone REALLY as mature as they say? It seems to me like no matter how old we get we always seem to back into ways that are considered childish and petty; like gossip and name calling and stuff like that.

I don't know about all that. But I think there are different types of maturity. I am 27 and have a good job, I pay all my bills, I have a wonderful woman by my side, and yet...I have more comics, cartoons and toys in my house now than I did when I was a kid. So go figure.

This is the last place on earth to get advice on this topic. :yay:

You my friend are living the dream. I salute you.

completely agree TC, me and my friends in situations can be as mature as an adult, but when were alone and ****ing around hanging out were as mature as a bunch of 13 year olds.

when the time for being mature comes we switch back to being our age, which is 17 btw.

but theres always a time for play and a time for manning up.

Oh yeah, good point. I start acting like a moron when I get together with my friends too. Something about a group of guys in a room together. The intel level plummets.

You're only young once, but you can be immature forever.

When I saw a thread with the title "Maturity", and noticed Ice-Man had posted in it, I had to see what was up.

I am very mature, thank you very much.
*sticks tongue out at threadmaker and runs off to a different thread*

i think if you add enough alcohol, and enough peer pressure or whatever, you can get immaturity at all ages. i swear to god some bars are worse than 6th grade lunch.

Maturity is acting the proper way at the proper time but remembering that's it's still okay to be "childish" when the time calls for it.
