May 2008 Sales and Market Share

Yeah, but some creators are primadonna *****es. We already know that.

Knowing that and putting up with it are two different things, though.

And Marvel seems content to do that. Can't really blame them, though: DC, from what I've seen on comic news sites, seems to have more editorial oversight and Marvel's outselling them by a ton. Clearly, the current de-emphasis on editorial oversight seems to be working for Marvel. One could argue that all you'd need to make DC's model work is better editors, but you can never argue with the bottom line.

Nope, you can't. But like I said before, there needs to be a balance. DC is suffering because the balance is out of whack. Marvel's quality and continuity is suffering because their balance is out of whack.

It's a stupid thing to comment anyway, because Marvel couldn't give two ****s about their continuity.

The editors had all their power taken away the day Joey Q took over. The creative talent runs the show there.

Considering the awesome work Brubaker, Pak, Carey, Fraction, Slott, Guggenheim, and yes even Millar and Bendis I really don't see a problem with it.

Its still a problem.

Yea they have cranked out some good stuff. But there have been plenty of misses by those crews also. Plenty.

Deadly.

Never read that Mini but I'm liking his Uncanny run.

Yeah but the good stuff far outweighs the bad. BY FAR!

Except for Bendis.
