The Amazing Spider-Man 2 MCU Easter Eggs in TASM2?

You win the thread. That would be hilarious and one of the best comic book movie moments to date if it was done correctly.

Hahaha, thanks! :)

Execution is key though. Webb would be a genius if he could pull it off.

f there do happen to be any MCU easter egss they are going to be small because sony cant come to terms with marvel but what im really wondering is what spidey universe easter eggs there will be in TASM2

There's going to be a hammer in Peter's garage. That's as close to a MCU reference as we'll see in this movie.

ahahaha what are your thoughts on spidey universe easter eggs in TASM 2

Is there anything legit to Parker's parents being SHIELD agents or was that just some IMBD or CBM rumor?

The only potential link I see is through his parents. How they do that will all depend on if Sony and Disney can collaborate together without having a "MINE!" war.

N o its if they follow that route because that storyline was in the comics but only likely if marvel and sony cooporate

It's just speculation.

After it was revealed that Marvel and Sony had agreed to tie the universes together last year, but just barely missed their opportunity to do it with Avengers and ASM, many speculated that Richard and Mary would in fact be SHIELD agents if the 2 universes merged.

It could still happen depending on Marvel and Sony's decision moving foward.

Yeah, the merging would've happened due to something as trivial as a unified skyline, but Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach (of ASM) both have stated after the fact that the ASM/Sony camp are open to MCU easter eggs such as a unified skyline.

Sony will never let go of the King of Marvel and arguably the superhero world.

there not planning to they just want to incorporate him in the avengers so they can make more money

Yeah. They won't ever let go of him.

But that doesn't mean they aren't willing to "share" the character, and work with Marvel.

Sony's Spider-man being tied to the MCU is beneficial for both sides.

Marvel gets the benefit of their flagship character being tied to and appearing their flagship film series and Sony gets the benefit of the extra exposure their spidey films get by existing in the same universe as the, now, very popular characters Marvel features in their MCU films.

Also, by having Sony still work on the solo films, while giving Marvel the right to incorporate him into their universe, w/ potential crossovers, it saves Marvel the large amount of time, money, and effort they would otherwise have to put into making the Spider-Man films.

One of the main reasons Marvel is fine with Spidey being with Sony is because he needs waaay more focus than they can give him with their MCU slate. Because with the way Marvel is heading with the MCU, they wouldn't be able to give the character regular released films like he should and they would want him to have. No one character gets more focus in the MCU than the others. Not even Iron Man, who will be noticeably absent from Phase 3 outside of The Avengers 3.

I think Sony could want Kingpin (who's still attached to DD?) back for a Sinister Six movie. He's just an awesome villain and I love what the late MCD did bringing that character life. A more accurate comic book version could at least provide a contrast and something unique from the previous incarnation. Certainly not a neccessity. I think if the plan is Sinister Six, elements of the MCU will have to be incorporated. SHIELD will have to be involved in some way, and that doesn't mean Thor and Hulk need to show up for a threat centralized in New York. It could be a TDKR esque finale, but I think Spidey would need more help besides just Black Cat or even Lizard if Connors becomes a good guy.

I don't think they'll ever go for it. The only way it'll happen is if they can buy Spider-Man, I don't think they want to share him. In Disney's eyes, their Marvel Universe is making bank WITHOUT Spider-Man. Why spend all that money to get him if you already made the biggest Superhero movie of all time with what you have?

I think Marvel would be more than willing to do the deal considering they hold the merchandising rights for Spider-Man, his movies included.

With Marvel making money off of him in the merchandising department w/ toys, etc, and Sony at the box office, it would be a fair deal IMO.

Not to mention Sony needs to up the scale in their last movie (ASM 4 or beyond). There is no reason that Spidey has to ever join the Avengers or FF roster (wherever FF ends up in ten years) in film. But you can certainly capitalize (from Disney's standpoint) by getting exposure to smaller MCU elements. The TV show looks like a bomb, so maybe get SHIELD involved in Spidey as well. Open the door to some big cameos. This helps Sony create buzz. And I think they could come together for an event type of movie.

i think it would be cool if nick fury is reviewing spideys fight with electro and turns to the camera and says: its time to call him in. then walks away
