Has anybody here had a really cool experience meeting one of their favorite celebs? A really bad one?

Heh, I was gonna say we already had a thread on this recently, but that thread was at LSP. guh-hUrk.

There was a thread about this here at one point. No idea where it's at, though.

Never met any of my favorites...not that I really have any. But I have met Cuba Gooding Jr and Ed Harris during the filming of Radio. And I actually ran into Reese Witherspoon on the street and I mean, I literally almost ran into her. She was very nice. And I've seen Tom Berenger in an Arby's and a few various sports people I didn't recognize but other people pointed out. And most notably, Tom Hanks in a restaurant.

wanted to meet/work with Eddie Murphy since I was nine ... did he was an @$$hole

Nope, haven't meet any movie or music celebs...don't really care to since I really have nothing to say to them.

I met Anthony Hopkins on the set of Red Dragon. He was in the prison jumpsuit for pictures, but we were in formal wear for the symphony scene. Wardrobe and Make-Up had done a real number on me, so I guess I looked ok. For one thing I was younger than 99% of the other extras. He was walking through the crowd shaking hands, and everyone was calling him "Mr. Hopkins." He'd been recently knighted, so I called him "Sir Anthony" which attracted his attention. He stopped, took my hand in both of his, and we spoke for about 15 minutes about who I was and whether or not they were treating me well on set. I dropped the name of a Professor of mine who had been in Equus with him, and he told me that if I needed anything his assistant would take care of me. He never broke eye contact and kissed my hand when his handlers ushered him away from me.

As I went back to my friends, they were all in awe and Patrick (a spectacularly hot extra I was semi-seeing) said, "He so wanted to eat your liver."

He may be old and fairly creepy, but if he had ordered me back to his trailer, I would have gone ;)

You are probably mistaking it with the "Meating celebs" thread, it was filled with posts from JAL wishing he could meat you know who.:oldrazz:

I met Big Daddy Kane & China Man from 2 Live Crew. China Man was actually in my house.

I've met Nelly twice...both at IHOP. Back in highschool we used to go there every once in a while after a late party just just eat and sober up, and he was there a couple of times. He was nice to us both times and even bought all our meals for us the second time.

I also met Rex Grossman at a bar (before everyone knew he sucked) and he was a jackass, and when I was younger I was able to go into the St. Louis Cardinals dugout and locker room a number of times which was awesome. They were all really nice to me when I was a kid.

Here's all the ones I remember;
Met Bobby Brown when I was 16. He was an arrogant deuche & I never bought anything of his ever again.
Met Jackie, Tito, Jermaine & Randy. All of them were cool until I mentioned the name of a certain sibling who was absent; then Jermaine got kind of annoyed.
Met Gladys Knight when I was 22-she was sweet as can be.
Tyler Mane, Ray Park, Lou Ferrigno, Tom Jane, Stan Lee, Cynthia Rothrock, Mercedes McNabb, Amber Benson, Michael Jai White, Margot Kidder & Noelle Neil at various Cons; not one bad thing to say about any of them.
Traci Bingham came off like she had the IQ of cheese. Kevin Nash seemes eager to get out of there.
Won't touch on the writers & artists; too many to name. Only Jim Lee & Rob Leifeld really pissed me off.
And most recently I chatted w/Lalah Hathaway after a concert; If I wasn't married... :)

How was Grossman a jackass?

He came into the bar where my firnds and I hung out with one of his own friends.

Bartender: Hi there, what can I get you guys?
Grossman (not paying too much attention and laughing with his friend): something strong.
Bartender: you wanna try my specialty? It's definately a strong drink. It's got *blah blah blah* in it.
Grossman: No, just give me a beer.
Friend of Grossman: I'll have the special.

*bartender hands Grossman the beer and starts making his specialty drink. Whne he's done with it it he puts it in front of them.*

Grossman: The hell. i said I didn't want that ****. Just give me a beer.
Bartender: It's for your firend, your beer is right here.
Grossman: Well he ain't drinking that **** either. Get it out of here. *tries to hand the bartender the glass and just ends up knocking it over and spilling it everywhere.* (I think his friend was in the bathroom during this).

After this Grossman and his friend went to a booth and piled a meager $47 tab. They eventually just left without looking at the bill and left $40 on the table so not only did they not tip the bartender, they actually stiffed him a bit.

That is basically it although I am sure I missed out on some of the exact conversation. They basically just pissed us off in the beginning, and then just annoyed us even more throughout the night. They never went up to the bar for another drink, they just yelled that they wanted more to the bartender (no waitresses were working that night) and stupid **** like that.

I know that terry has met like 80377806 different celebrities.
