Chernin Entertainment is producing the movie with Masi Oka, who you may know as Hiro from NBC’s Heroes.

The same production co. behind the Apes prequel trilogy. Hoping for the best.

I really hope this happens and it's good but... can someone please announce a Metroid movie? I'd KILL to see that. If it's good of course (and yeah, it probably wouldn't be).

BUT! The technology is there to make a stunning Metroid world. And with a badass female protagonist, it would stand out from the plethora of Square-Jawed Man Saves the Universe sci-fi films.

The directors should take some cues from the criminally underrated Speed Racer movie. That type of visual style and script tone is perfect for a Mega Man movie.
