This looks like all kinds of insane fun and I am so there for it. Mel Gibson is just perfect casting for this version of Santa Claus and then you got Walton Goggins in this as somekind of hitman going after him all because some brat got a lump of cold for Christmas lol.

Sign me up and at least its an original spin on the character.

As long as you go into it not expecting a wall to wall action flick than you might still enjoy it. Gibson is great in it, but it really isn't as crazy as that trailer makes it look which did disappoint me somewhat.

Unfortunately, there isn't at least not nearly as much as you would think based on the trailer. You don't actually get to see Gibson be a badass until like the last 15 minutes which might really disappoint a lot of people, but I was still into it because of the story and the performances.

Ah well. Seems like its more of a drama than anything else. Welp, we’ll see how it goes. It was 7 bucks in HD on Amazon so even if i dont like it i wont feel too bad about it.

It definitely works better as a drama IMO. The scenes between Mel Gibson and his wife played by Marianne Jean-Baptiste were some of the best scenes in the movie and my personal favorites.
