Bone Tomahawk's S. Craig Zahler – who worked with Vaughn recently on Brawl In Cell Block 99 – is in the director's chair, and wrote the script.

The story finds two police officers (Gibson as the old timer and Vaughn as his volatile younger partner) who are suspended when a video of their overly violent tactics is plastered across the web and on news channels. With their income suspended and funds running low, they double down on the bad behaviour and head for the criminal underworld. But there, they find far more than they wanted...

S. Craig Zahler is a genius writer/director, so that's already gotten my attention, plus with these two as the leads? Yeah I'm onboard the Hype train for this one.

Sold! S. Craig Zahler is awesome. I wish I could find more of his scripts floating around out there. Just about all of them are amazing supposedly.

^ i still want to see him and Park Chan-wook team up for The Brigands of Rattleborge.

Brigands was brilliant.

I'd love it if he gets Patrick Wilson and Matthew Fox back for the two criminals the cops are up against.

I know it wrapped a while ago, but I can't wait for this.

Vaughn's hair and Gibson's stache are the true stars of this film.:funny:

Bwaha, that pic's hilarious. Is this a period piece, or set now? Looks more 80s or something from their...err, choice of looks.

I think it's set now.

Stumbled across this pic from filming... it's Michael Jai White!

Michael Jai White gets the Michael Jackson treatment to go undercover and bust dirty cop colleagues Melvin Gibsons and that guy from Swingers?

I'm in.

Whenever I see that pic it kinda reminds me of Terrence Howard lol.

Premiering at Venice so we should get some footage around that time.

Mixed reactions coming in from Venice. Overlong first half with a brutal second half seems to be the main consensus.

Glowing review from The Daily Beast! :funny:
