So just to be clear about this, this is a film that begins shooting now but won’t be completed until 2039 as he’ll be shooting on and off for the next 20 years as the actors age?

It's not even just the actors. Linklater turns 60 next year. Now, obviously, people can live to 80, but... sometimes stuff happens.

The main two lead actors, not so much.
