This world isn't getting any nicer is it? So thinking that, I thought it would be nice for me being English just to take time to wish all you guys over the pond in America a happy Thanksgiving.
I know it isn't much, and to be honest I know very little about that particular tradition . . . but I know it's around the right time of year for it, so i just thought I'd say to all my American friends on the hype, have a good one. :)

before i second this....why was thanksgiving only ever mentioned in one simpsons episode and a few freinds eps??

if it's that important then why not make it bigger:huh:

Being mostly Cherokee, I have mixed feelings about Thanksgiving. But I don't have mixed feelings about eating lots of my mom's food and watching football.

Thanks for the wishes, mate.

I never thought about the fact that Thanksgiving is strictly American until now.
That's bizarre.

That's a nice sentiment, Eggy. Much appreciated.

It's not, we had our Thanksgiving back on what you call Columbus Day.

Having said that, Happy Turkey Day to y'all south of the border!

Thanks for the wishes. I'm looking forward to overeating and reliving old familial disputes as if they never ended.

please tell me that is a day full of fighting.
It's December 26th. It used to be that in old England the lord of the manor would deliver a box of gifts to the household servants the day after Christmas, and it came to be called Boxing Day.

I know my family celebrates it by eating leftovers and watching the World Junior Hockey Championships :D

There's Boxing Day sales which are usually INSANE. So, fear not, there's plenty of violence.

I almost died trying to buy a $200 computer last year :p

Happy americans you got damn thanksgivings:cmad:

I really don't even eat that much on Thanksgiving.
I mean, I have the essentials but I don't completely stuff my face.

I don't think that I've ever actually gained weight on Thanksgiving.
