most penalized drugs are really not much different from alcohol, but the main difference is that illegal drugs carry an inherent stigma with them, for example, most people have the idea that being a pothead is much worse than being an alcoholic

I've met way too many people who've said "I'd rather be an alcoholic than smoke pot" which is a pretty ignorant idea in itself

making this policy would only be the first step in having people culturized about more acurate and objective views about this topic

The problem with drugs is that too many people sit around demonizing substances that they have no understanding of . . . D.A.R.E. tells you drugs are bad, and that's it . . .

People need to understand what specific drugs do . . . which are worse, and why they're worse . . . not just that 'they're bad and shouldn't do them' . . . . it's like telling a little kid 'not to push the red button' . . .
