Homecoming Michael Giacchino is the Composer for Spider-Man: Homecoming

Could not disagree more. Giacchino really excels at fleshing out the emotion of a scene without necessarily writing something you'll hum to yourself later on. A good example of this is the way he scored the moment after Vulture's suit explodes.

Powerful stuff!

The orchestration of the 60s theme was absolutely awful. I remember being physically uncomfortable in the theatre...the horns should have been on melody, not the strings. Seriously wtf

In an amazon customer review the reviewer revealed what the two easter egg cues, which appeared after track 22 ("Spider-Man Homecoming Suite"), were.

For those of you (probably only 1 and >40) who bought physical CD, the final track 22 has 2 hidden tracks. "The Queens Community Bank Jingle" and "The Real Reason Peter Quit the Band"

Sorry, this is one of the many reasons why I usually opt to buy the physical copy of an album. The only advise I have is to maybe check YouTube to see if anyone has posted these 2 tracks. As of right now, no one has. The two tracks are merely easter eggs. "The Queens Community Bank Jingle" is just that; a 52 second commercial jingle that was played in the background during the bank robbery scene. (technically, this is IN the movie) "The Real Reason Peter Quit the Band" is just a 17 second clip of a high school band performing a warm up scale and sounding as good as any high school band could. This is likely from a deleted scene. Neither track is worth the extra money. I hope this comes as some consolation.

IMO both easter egg cues add very little to the score and were unnecessary, but whatever.

Didn't think the score was GREAT, but didn't think it was bland either. Not sure if he used the right voicings, if that makes sense.

But there are some nice colors and tracks. The bored in school montage scene was cool and even some of the softer, gentler scenes. The theme is growing on me. I think when it plays while under the rubble and when he puts on the suit at the very end out of the paper bag plays nicely.

We'll see if he comes back for the seek.

I personally didn't love the Giacchino motif at first. It wasn't until I'd seen the film I started to really enjoy it. Monumental Breakdown is without a doubt the best use of the theme - 1:28 and 4:32 is just fantastic. Vulture Clash does it really well too; 3:02 to the end is pretty powerful.

If the Ultimate Spider-Man comics had a theme, this would be it.
