That's awesome! This might sound odd, but the tune reminds me of the character Black Annis of English folklore (who I do believe at least to some extent influenced Green Goblin, just don't quote me on that, it's never been noted anywhere)
I think the Goblin was influenced by Halloween folklore in general, including famous goblins and other creatures. That tune would also work for Mysterio.
It would, though I like it better for gobby. I really hope they completely embrace the goblin this time around, and using a score that captures the essence of those old folkloric tales would definitely go a long way. (They gotta go full goblin with his design too)
This. I've had enough of the tech look, time for a Green Goblin that's the stuff of genuine nightmares. Not only is he Spider-Man's greatest enemy, he's also the scariest. My favorite Goblin shot in the movies is in the festival scene, when he's first spotted flying over the jumbotrons in Times Square. It looked like the Wicked Witch of the West when she spells out "Surrender Dorothy" with her broom. Really creepy. Gobby needs a theme that's...witchy, if you catch my drift.
My favourite set of cues from any Spider-Man score are 'Cold War' and 'No Place Like Home'. I love the energy and fun they have, along with some poignancy to balance it all out. Zimmer's theme is rather basic on it's own, but in an action cue, it's delightful.I loved the "I'm Goblin" track from ASM2.

Hey, me too! I always like to listen to those themes back-to-back. Another one I enjoy is "You're that spider guy." I think that's pretty epic on it's own and gives some life to Zimmer's main theme. My favourite set of cues from any Spider-Man score are 'Cold War' and 'No Place Like Home'. That's the cue and I love it. There's nothing like it in comparison to Elfman and Horner. I think it works for the scene because it's a big moment for TASMverse Peter. He's been digging for information about his parents all his life and nothing substantial ever came up. But after years of hunting, a carriage of information literally rises from the ground and gifts him answers. For Peter personally, it was an epic moment.I love the subway music in TASM2. I think the track was called, "I need to know" on the official soundtrack. Though I think that music should have been used for something a little bit more epic than the revelation of Richard's secret subway car.
