They lied to me
They shot at me
They hate on me
They're dead to me
And now they're all my enemy

Made me feel like a kid again. :woot:

fight was incredible, i got chills when spider-man saved the people from being electrocuted on the stairs and the score comes to a head! However during this bit you referenced I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed for the filmmakers with how corny the lyrics were.

He was simple and they kept him simple. They established he was a nut, and that was the end of it.

I wish we could've had just him as the only villain in the movie (though you could argue he was, anyway), with Harry-Goblin saved for the third TASM film.

Oh well.

Electro was not that good of a villain. They overplayed his nuttiness, when he's supposed to suffer from an inferiority complex. He's one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel Universe, but he can never harness his full power, because he doesn't have the confidence to take the risks in battle and expects failure.

A movie with themes about an untouchable becoming a god, and fearing losing his power, would have been beautiful in a film with themes about the hero losing that which he values most.

I would have written the final battle with electro after the death of gwen and had an emotional moment between Peter and Max, where Peter explains he's lost everything that gave him happiness as well, and that failure is okay sometimes. It could have been as touching as Peter reasoning with Octavius in SM2. Instead we got Rhino and Sinister 6 -__-

Zimmer and it is not even close! Elfman has the best main theme has I don't care for Zimmer's man theme and the Whole Horner soundtrack I don't even want to talk about because it is so bad lol. Horner had like 3 good songs on the whole soundtrack that where good the other songs sucked so hard. Young had some good scores like the black suit but not has good has Elfman score. Zimmer out side of the main theme had just about a perfect score and this song and sever others is better then any thing on any of the other sm movies.

Zimmers score is one of the best scores I have ever heard in a movie before right up there with dark knight trilogy and right up there with lion king!

It worked for Electro, though and that's what it set out to accomplish. :oldrazz:

That would've been neat.

I prefer Elfman's the most. It should be noted that Young contributed to the SM2 score.

Horner's was okay with elements too reminiscent of Titanic.

Zimmer's was the absolute worst. It sounded really ugly and inconsistent, not helped by the fact that people like Pharrell were brought on to contribute. Easily the worst of Zimmer's career.

3erd best Zimmer score to me and very underrated.

You will forgive me if I don't trust the judgment of someone who ranks TASM2 higher than The Dark Knight.

Those background vocals for Electro did not work for me at all. Thing is, with all of those other composers, one has to ask how much Zimmer contributed himself.

While I thought the score worked while for that sinces and even still that was just a small portion of the over all soundtrack and I love the dark knight trilogy has a whole but I think dark knight I think is overrated because of how good ledger was has the joker but I love all 3 so that is not a bad thing.

Kinda how I see TDK as well.

The Dark Knight was probably the best superhero film of all time. It stands beautifully on it's own to the point many did not realize it was a sequel, manages to create a very large feeling Batman universe with characters like Scarecrow making casual appearances, and featured a fast paced plot with ample character development to boot. I think Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises are horribly overrated because they are a part of the same trilogy of films as both have massive flaws that are over looked, but aside from Bale's Batvoice I really have no gripes about TDK.

Dark knight rises I thought was easily better. I liked the soundtrack more and while banes acting was not has good has jokers it was still very good and he was still a great villain and catwoman was great in the movie to and the action was better then dark knight to.

I think dark knight is easily the worst of the 3. Batman begins was a great begging to a new trilogy and dark knight rises I think is easily the best of the 3. I liked the way both bane and catwoman where used and the movie had better action then the other 2 and the best soundtrack of the 3. To me dark knight rises and spider man 2 are easily the 2 best CBM and in a league of there own. I don't see how the other ones are horribly overrated has all 3 are top 5 CBM off all time but I also don't see how iron man is so great. To me Iron man is behond horribly overrated has it is an ok maybe even a bad movie and both iron man 2 and 3 are better.

To me Batman Begins and TDKR are like a guy who goes on a date and tells a girl how great he is rather than letting his actions speak. They're pretentious, mediocre stories that are directed like they're Citizen Kane. The Dark Knight was truly ground breaking, stood very well on it's own, and was a fun crime drama that just happened to feature Batman. It was a fluke that WB has been trying to recreate ever since. Our opinions are obviously very different though so I'm just going to agree to disagree.

Danny Elfman, and it's not even close. As a fan of Zimmer it's sad to rank him bottom of the list, but his TASM 2 score was really weak.

Zimmer, easily. Elfman is just awful and Horner is very very forgettable.

Most of the villain themes were awesome, especially Elfman's Doctor Octopus and Zimmer's Electro.

I already posted my thoughts but hear is how I would rank them on a 1-10 scale for the whole score not just the themes.

1. Zimmer 10
2. ELFMAN 8.5
3. Young 8
4. Horner 4

Electro's is either something you love or hate.

I thought it was very unique and quite a brave choice, but when you compare it to any of Elfman's tracks it really shows the difference between TASM2 and SM2.

Elfman all the way! The score just suits Spider-man.

I did take a liking to James Horner's score though, it wasn't as good as Elfman's but it had some strong points.

Zimmer's was very.....strange...I can't say it's that good to be honest. It has some really nice parts to it but when it's was bad it was really bad. Although something tells me he didn't get a lot of control with Sony around. "Put more techno/dubstep music in Zimmer, kids will eat that crap up". :wall:

What i got from tasm2 theme is that sony wanted that a heroic theme where once you hear it you know the hero is coming to save the day, which I think horners wasn't quite like that as it had a more sense of wonder to it

I know zimmer said he wanted a playful theme to suit Peter parker character

1. James Horner
2. Danny Elfman
3. Christopher Young
4. Hans Zimmer

I hated TASM2's main theme, they completely washed over everything James Horner did in his TASM soundtrack. I also found Electro's theme very, very annoying! "My pulse is racing, mental torture, self destroying calling card, with paranoia slipping something mind distracting agony inside of me" the sad thing is someone got paid to write that..
Danny Elfman's score is very nostalgic for me :) the music is just iconic, ya know.
