I really hate how it's become the norm to include budget in box office reporting like this. Very corporate-brained.
Maybe a certain billionaire doesn't like it.Why am I seeing more garbage ass reports about losses then people talking about the actual film and how good it is? Goddamn this **** gross. Nobody reporting on films seems to care about the films themselves.

Yup.Yeah, I don’t see them sticking around in the long run with mister cheap hands at the head, but bless them! They gave PTA 100 mill and got DiCaprio in it, Inarritu got a big budget with Tom Cruise, and they got BJh with Battinson.

The release date wasn't the problem. There was basically no competition last weekend. The problem is that it's not a crowd-pleaser blockbuster that you'd normally associate those types of budgets with. I'm just happy it was made at all. This film 100% deserved a better marketing campaign and release date.
Like I mentioned before, we just have to be satisfied these days if movies get made and are released instead of thrown out as a tax write off. This is where we are. This was a great time. Pattinson was great in this and I also enjoyed Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette chewing up the scenery as the absolute worst people. I loved it but I can also see why a lot of people wouldn't go for it. It's not a movie for everyone.
