On second thought, make it 2K Games, and there will be mass firings at Sony.

Due to recent news involving X, formerly Twitter and its owner, the staff of SuperHeroHype have decided it would be best to no longer allow links on the board. Starting January 31st, users will no longer be able to post direct links to X on this site, however screenshots will still be allowed as long as they follow Hype rules and guidelines. Well MS did spend $2.5B for Minecraft alone and the IP is multiplat, so who knows...The content of all the recently acquired studios prior to this is going to be exclusive apart from Minecraft I believe. I’m not sure what the point of buying them for 7.5B is otherwise.
Yeah MS has a net worth of about $1.6 trillion!Agreed. Also Microsoft has a lot more money then Sony. A lot more. Like 20 times bigger.
Man, I really underestimated that.Well MS did spend $2.5B for Minecraft alone and the IP is multiplat, so who knows...
Making those Bethesda IPs available on Sony's box would be very, very kind from Microsoft.

I need my Ubisoft games on my PlayStationMicrosoft needs to go buy EA and Ubisoft and really make this a war.
Honestly, I can see Microsoft playing nice with Nintendo.
Then tell Sony to release the Spider-Man!I need my Ubisoft games on my PlayStation![]()
shouldn't this be in the Microsoft forum?
I'm interested to see what playstation would do neXt. I never played any games from Bethesda because they are mostly first person games so its not a loss for me. And if I were Microsoft, I would not let the upcoming Bethesda games come to the playstation. Also, it's no coincidence that MS dropped this megaton hammer of news on the eve of preorders going live.
MS WANTS to associate future Bethesda games with the Xbox brand. To give consumers another reason (and a big reason) to consider Xbox going into the new gen.
It kind of undercuts the significance of this news, and the incentive to go preorder the new Xbox consoles, if they come out and say that those future big games are still coming to PS5. If so, then what's the point of this deal?
I seriously doubt Sony will drop the prices of the PS5.I'm interested to see what playstation would do neXt. Hopefully Sony would drop the prices of the ps5 to counteract this merger.
No one goes there man.shouldn't this be in the Microsoft forum?
Its a wishful thinking. But I think this merger and the XboX having a 299 console would lead to stronger sales for XboX's neXt gen in the long run and Sony should reconsider their plans. And I just wonder what Sony is thinking right now.I seriously doubt Sony will drop the prices of the PS5.
Most likely, a major acquisition of their own or at least a major exclusivity deal. Its a wishful thinking. But I think this merger and the XboX having a 299 console would lead to stronger sales for XboX's neXt gen in the long run. And I just wonder what Sony is thinking right now.
Yeah but we don't know if there's any in the works and I doubt there is going to be a major acquisition anytime soon. Most likely, a major acquisition of their own or at least a major exclusivity deal.
Minecraft is a different kind of title IMO.Well MS did spend $2.5B for Minecraft alone and the IP is multiplat, so who knows...

The Microsoft part, yes, but not the Bethesda/Zenimax part.shouldn't this be in the Microsoft forum?
Yeah, I’d just prefer if the console companies made an agreement on this kind of stuff.Maybe end stupid stuff like Spidey not being in the other versions of the Avengers game.![]()
Yeah, they’ve said that those two games will be honoured (which they should IMO).Looking at their games.... Doom, Elder Scrolls and Fallout are huge gets. Business wise, I just don't see why Microsoft would let future games (which could be years away) of those and Starfield come to Playstation after this merger.
Ghostwire Tokyo and Deathloop are probably going to be released in ps5 as i can't imagine the ps5 port being canceled now but who knows. If Microsoft acquires Capcom, T2 Interactive or Ubisoft, I would be freaking out so much now. Hopefully that doesn't happen.
Yeah, adding EA Access to gamepass took me by surprise. It’s not something I would have ever paid for but a nice addition nonetheless. MS is seemingly doing everything they can to turn gamepass into Netflix, and that is probably an easier sell to the top execs when asking for funding.Well, MS is already cozying up with EA by adding that EA service to Gamepass.
Now, if EA could sell Bioware to MS............

Does it matter? By the time the next Elder Scrolls comes out, Globe Warming will have won.[Laughs in Ori]
It is absolutely going to be on a case by case basis. You have to balance the lost income vs the potential of bringing in new customers. Some games, it will be worth it. Other times, it won't. I absolutely do not see Elder Scrolls being console exclusive.
The more valuable the game as an exclusive, the more money lost. It’s the same for Sony though surely with God of War, Uncharted, Horizon, Spider-man etc. How much income have they fire gone by keeping titles like those exclusive for years? On the list side though it has helped them dominate the console race and have a massive install base to sell digital products.[Laughs in Ori]

Well if that's the case, then a thread like this being in that forum give em a reason to go there...No one goes there man.![]()
But mS owns Zinemax now. That is literally the whole story here. Why would that part not fit?The Microsoft part, yes, but not the Bethesda/Zenimax part.
