Aaron Greenberg, Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Group Product Manager, confirmed that there will be no X07 taking place this year. Instead he said Microsoft will have to find other ways to release their big surprises such as dashboard updates and so on later this year. You can hear him confirm this on the newest Squad XP Podcast. Also he confirms that Pixar Movies and Pirates Of The Caribbean will be finding their way on the Video Marketplace later this year.

I guess we'll be seeing a lot of the sensationalist, "OMFFFG Peter Moore quits Killzone 2 surpasses E32005 video PS3 pricedrop makes sales double Xbox360 LittleBigPlanet buys Microsoft OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!" craziness. Personally, though I am disappointed, I can understand why. This is going to be a huge fall for Microsoft one way or another, and they don't need X07 to generate interest and publicity. With Halo 3, GTA4, Mass Effect and others releasing, Microsoft showing new titles on the backdrop of the great games coming out would only cause both to overshadow each other. Plus, Peter Moore leaving in August leaves no room for Mattrick to give a decent speech on what's going to happen.
Also, whatever money they save on not having X07 makes that $1 Billion expense seem a little bit smaller.
