Looking forward to this one.
Most (not all ) of the characters in that universe are pretty boring. Ill wait until I get reviews, to know if this is worth my time.
Wow. Could not disagree more. Static is a tremendous character, and Icon and Rocket are simply fascinating. Not to mention Blood Syndicate which is. Blast.
At least that’s my opinion.
Static is a good character. The current comic run is, however ,horrible.
Rest of them I have always found boring. Even if I have wanted to like it. Hopefully the film is good and surprises naysayers like me.
I’m really loving the new runs, even though they are retreads of the old comics. Funny thing is that I prefer Icon and Rocket and Blood Syndicate over Static, even though I like Static.
Looking forward to the new run of Blood Syndicate.
I really enjoyed the old Milestone Comics, particularly Icon & Static. Really glad the DC Comics App had the issues on there, I've read a good bit of the comics. I bought the new Static comic book when it came out (got the really cool blue tin foil cover) but I didn't enjoy it that much honestly. Didn't bother to continue with it. Maybe I'll pick up the TPB back one day, but eh.
I am excited for this animated film. I hope it's based on the old Milestone comics rather than the new. I'll still give it a fair chance regardless.
I’m new to Milestone but I grew up with the Static cartoon so I have an affection for the character. I’m currently reading the new run of Milestone titles and I’m really loving the books with Icon and Rocket being my favorite of the bunch. I’ve already ordered the compendium of the original comics so I can’t wait to dig into those original stories. Pretty excited for the animated film and what they come up with.
You will love the compendium of originals. I especially love the world building that happens with Icon and Rocket and the Blood Syndicate in the originals. Those stories have a Jack Kirby/Denny O’Neil Bronze Age feel to them that gives them such charm. But at the same time they retain their social commentaries which make them important.
Speaking of the compendium…
Pretty cool Milestone short film series on YouTube.
I'm going to watch these today!
