State of Emergency is active at the moment.Government is searching for people who have ties this terrorist organization who made coup attempt.

Daily life is normal now.

Looks like Muslim countries need a military dictatorship to remain secular.

Coup had nothing to do with remaining secular though. It was done by group of soldiers who were leaked in military many years ago and put in place by a terrorist group.

This group has their people not just in military but every level of government and legal system last 30-40 years and especially gained power in last decade.

They are quite religious terrorist group actually, not working for secular Turkey at all..quite opposite.

Military didn't approve coup that night and actually they fight back against this group of soldiers along with police force and citizens.

Noone with a brain would want military take over democracy. It wasn't just erdogan supporters but everybody on streets.

I am hearing mixed things. Everything from this coup being encouraged by Erdogan, to Kemalists, to Islamists. Or it was just a complete false flag operation.

All I know with certainty is that Erdogan is milking this situation. With the military threat removed, he is going to turn Turkey hard towards authoritarianism. He has dismissed and detained over 50,000 people (including teachers and civil servants). We're talking a purge on the scale of Saddam Hussein.

In twenty years people might look back very differently on this coup by the time Erdogan is done.

They don't but the US does supposedly have over 50 nukes at Incirlik Air Base.

It would be very stupid to nuke an allied nation like the US even if you think there is an enemy of your country in it. Besides that there are less extreme ways to handle this kind of situation than a nuke first approach.
