After three movies people want to see some change. Whether it is a slight costume change, change of the villain, or a change of a few of the main characters, people want some kind of change after three films.

I want to see Spidey in the snow. We've had three films and none of them showing Spider-Man in the snow. We know we can't take Spidey out of New York, but at least we can see him in a slightly different environment.

I'd also like to see a little less comedy relief. Some of the scenes with Hoffman were too over the top. Some of the moments felt thrown in there to just give his brother a job. A bit more of a serious tone would do the movie well.

They also really need to get him out of that little apartment building.

Wow. 25 views and not one response? So everyone is happy with his little apartment? No one else wants to see a weather change in New York? Everyone is 100% happy with the last movie?

I agree with the snow bit.
I'm a winter guy myself, I like the look of Christmas and snow. Really, I was hoping for snow in Spider-Man 3 because I always like visualizing Venom in snowy weather, black on white you know? In the Making of Spider-Man 3 book there were talks of it but it never happened. They even had a CGI image of Symbiote Spider-Man hanging on the side of a building (like when he woke up in the film) with snow falling.

As for Hoffman and the apartment, I like them fine. I like the view of his apartment (really liked it in 3 when Aunt May came in, the skyline was amazing looking).

I like the apartment. It's real Peter Parker. Plus, if he moved from there then we'd be robbed of the comedy of Mr Ditkovich, and the lovely Ursula. I really like them. Ursula feels more connected to Peter than MJ does.

I've no problem with Hoffman either. It's nice for JJJ to have someone to bounce his insults off besides Peter.

Coudn't care less about the weather.

I'd like to see snow & Spidey be the comedic relief. JJ & Spidey should be the only funny characters IMO.

I think the comic relief should be removed from the supporting cast and be focused on Spidey himself. Spider-Man is a fun, humorous character...but you wouldn't know it from the movies.

I don't want to see Spider-man in the snow but him an MJ could get a place together.

Totally agree. I feel like we still haven't really seen Spidey on screen. At least not perfectly yet. I don't get why it's so hard for them to make him funny.

snow would be intereting.

would it be very expensive to film on location at winter?

Probably a bit more problematic than expensive. New York is a madhouse in the winter, especially in the areas that they'd want to shoot (i.e. near Macy's, or Rockefeller Center). A winter setting for the movie would almost require a winter release, which isn't too bad, but highly unlikely.

My problem with Mr. Ditkovich (even though I like his character) is Spider-Man has so many great characters to use. Why create someone new when there are so many un-used amazing characters. Same goes for Hoffman. Why not Ned Leds? Or how about Ben Urich?

The real problem with Hoffman is he's to much comedy relief. It's all to over the top. I think comedy is best when used wisely, not to much and over the top. I laughed much harder at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zxrDfl3T5k

then all of the Spider-Man bits with Hoffman and JJJ. Minus the annoying edit.

Minor??? I spit on Minor changes :cwink:

OK. Seriously, I would NOT consider these minor changes, but I will let you guys be the judge there.

Connors Clan. DEVELOPMENT!

1) Peter's relation with Dr. Connors. Show him working for Dr. Connors as a lab assistant, with foreshadowing/hinting at Dr. Connors work with Reptilian DNA Slicing or somesuch. Of course, gonna be kinda hard with how they have NOT set up Dr. Connors as a biologist, but what you gonna do there?

Establish a growing bond between Peter and Dr. Connors, showing them getting close, letting the character development for Dr. Connors grow. Let him share some insights through his research about his family, his son, and how the loss of his arm has affected him and his relationship with his son and Wife (in his mind).

Which would lead to ...

2) The Connors Clan and Peter's relationship with them. Have Dr. Connors, sensing how Peter misses his Uncle, and can associate with Peter about not really growing up with a family (Aunt May and Uncle Ben tried, but when they're that old with a young boy to look after, etc.)... Have Dr. Connors take Peter more under his wing (sorry for the pun), and bring him into his family, where we see Martha Connors and Billy basically adopt Peter as part of the family.

DEVELOP the Characters for down the line. Foreshadow and hint that the Lizard is coming with the development of the Connors Clan, and with Dr. Connors secret research.

As far as villains, I can wait for Lizzie in SM5 IFFFFF... we get the development of the storyline in SM4. Let another villain carry SM4 (say Electro), as the Development of Connors and his family leads us to a kickass Cliffhanger ending with Dr. Connors alone late at night in the lab... when he against ALL better judgement (Peter's included), takes things into his own hands.. and tries to play God....

*would be greatness IMO*

I have always wanted to see a SM movie shot during winter time in NYC, around the holidays. It would add to the epic aspect of the movies to me, with some of the cool shots you could have panning over the city from above with a sky cam.

AND.. I could see the "winter time" storyline being used for the Lizard IF they Are SMART.. *hint hint*

agree on all points, except i would like it to snow. but if it doesn't, i'm not going to lose sleep.

More humor from Peter while in the suit. But also in general. The villain not discovering who Spidey is (is it that hard? I would accept Connors finding out, except Sandman and Doc Ock already got to know too) and Peter and MJ talking to each other like adults. Them being immature for the other movies is fine, but they did a ot of growing up in SM3 and I'd like to see them act as adults now.

Villains not finding out Peter's secrete ID is a good one. I never even thought of that one.

No cheap cleavage shots.

Peter as a teacher, like in the comics...or as it used to be. I don't know the actual status.
I think it would show more progress and maturity.

I'd like to have a change of weather. Snow. It'd be good. Hoffman is also a character I like. Not a problem with him.

As for the suit, I'd like to see the round spider from the comics in his back.

I can't stand Hoffman. Daily Bugle, It's Hip, It's Now, It's Wow, and How? And he actually thinks thats a good idea. Who would ever market a newspaper that way?
He belongs in a slapstick comedy, not a superhero flick. Hoffman needs to die.

Or never show up again.

I totally agree about having Spidey being set in winter time. It would make it more epic now I think. If Vulture is indeed the villain in SM4, I think he'd fit perfectly for the setting. It would make his furr collar and "vulturistic" look actually make sense! :P

I also agree about abit less comedy relief and a more serious tone.

However, I love his apartment, it really feels "Peter Parker" if you know what I mean.

Also, I give  to TheSlag, because what he said is what I've always wanted. That way, the audience would have more feelings for Dr. Connors and Peter Parker if Connors becomes Lizard in SM5. The emotional effects would be even bigger and make SM5 an epic ending to the Spider-Man franchise (I think it should end with Spider-Man finally saving Dr. Connors from dying with a very emotional scene. That way, it would make up for Spider-Man's "failure" from saving Uncle Ben and Harry. And Peter & MJ would finally marry. That way, Spider-Man would finally get the prize he deserves for all his struggles and fighting. The franchise would end all happy :) )

I say the franchise should never end. Like James Bond, or Star Trek, there are dozens of movies waiting to be made about this guy.
