Missing threads

Ive noticed the last couple of days when i went to update threads for films due soon that they had been wiped since the re-indexing.

When you search for movies like "The Kingdom" and "Fracture" they are gone but threads on movies from 2004 are still there,why were the newer ones wiped instead of the older ones ?

They're being wiped in an odd way. Some are already gone, others will be gone this weekend.

But why were threads for films still ongoing wiped ? i thought the idea was to clear old stuff not ones that were for new movies coming out.

Probably because the threads weren't posted in for over a year. It doesn't matter what the movie was, or when it was coming out, or anything of that sort. All the computer sees is. "Active within a year: Keep" or "Inactive for a year or more: Delete". The computer doesn't care about what's happening. It's either 0 or 1, on or off, keep or delete.

The Kingdom was just updated in March when the release date was moved and Fracture in February when the the trailer arrived
