That left hand is suspiciously ring-less.![]()
Took it off because he's on assignment?
Ofcourse if his wife was killed or it didn't work out maybe that's why he's not wearing it.
Looking at Ving Rhames recent work, to get a 7 figure payday is not something he should turn down.
Its sort of disgusting in this day and age to hear an actor in this economy act like $3,000,000 isn't enough. I know its probably less after taxes but c'mon.
Is it that bad putting up with Tom Cruise and his stuff? I mean he did it for three movies already.
Even Cruise is taking a pay cut
After the commercial disappointment of Knight and Day, Hollywood studio Paramount has reportedly lost faith in Tom Cruise’s ability to draw at the box office and have cut the upcoming fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible series’ $135 million production budget in half.
Though the film is moving ahead on schedule, Cruise is rumored to have agreed to be paid "scale," – the Screen Actors Guild minimum payment – taking nearly no salary up front and being paid only after the studio makes back its investment.
With production slated to begin in September, two-time Academy Award-winning director Brad Bird – who will be making his live-action film debut, after overwhelming success with animated films such as The Incredibles and Ratatouille – has been readying his actors in recent days, while the studio finalizes the budget. –ANDREW BANKIN
Doesn't Rhames think that in a movie where Tom feckin' Cruise is taking a paycut, maybe he ought to set his sights a bit lower? I mean $3m is still a lot of money, considering that his presence or absence in the movie is unlikely to change its intake at the box office.
This is why movies with sequels are so damn tricky. You have to keep the actors but up their pay for additional installments.
Or you hire unknowns and give them a base salary. Andrew Garfield is only getting 500,000 for the first movie but will get double for future movies.
