Sounds great, that means we should get a trailer quite soon.

They used Nine Inch Nails music instead of the theme ?

No teaser with Super 8?
Then I found this post from movie-list.com

Unfortunately, signs are pointing to Paramount deciding to put a hold on the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol teaser trailer. Back in March, Paramount told a group of journalists seeing the very first footage of Super 8 and other upcoming Paramount films that the M:I4 trailer would debut with Super 8 in June. Cut to this week and... nothing. This is likely due to the chance that the release date of the movie itself could change, given the stacked Holiday season this year, along with the rumor that Paramount's Star Trek sequel may be moving from summer 2012, leaving a gap that M:I4 could possibly have to fill...

I was hoping for a trailer to attach to Super 8.. But alas, it doesn't seem like there're going to be any.

The guy at that site is speculating because of the Box office mojo article.

Star Trek 2 is most likely coming around two years from now, so I bet they'll move MI4 to Summer 2012...

I thought Paramount would be pushing G.I. Joe 2 up to ST2's summer spot since the former is well into pre-production and starts shooting within two months.

But Brandon Gray does make a good point. Provided post-production is going smoothly, I'm sure Paramount could boost MI4 up two weeks to December 2, 2011 if they want. It's the notorious post-Thanksgiving spot, but it's a good position if it's a good movie and marketed well.

That way both Paramount and WB win. Paramount still gets to release MI4 in December, and WB gets the date for SH2 all to itself.

So the trailer is definitely coming soon.(most likely with TF3 so far)
One of IMDb users posted that he just saw it.
Here's the quote.

Well, I work at the movie theatre and we just got it. (Maybe to play before Transformers 3? I don't really know) I wachted it and tought it looked good. Altought it had an Eminem soundtrack on it, it looked like a great action thriller.
First, you see a building from an eastern country collapsing and Tom Cruise flying through the air from the explosion. There's a scene where he's running away from a giant dustcloud. He's also talking to Simon Pegg in a scene where Simon explains him how one of his gadget's work. It's a gadget to help him climb walls. Then we see Tom climbing a huge skyscraper with it. Then he falls, swings on a rope, and lands trough a window into the building. That last part is a cut to black and the titel appears. You also see a scene where Tom and Jeremy Renner are pointing a gun at each other. Jeremy says: "We all have our secrets ... ETHAN". And Tom looking surprised that he knew his name.
That's all I really remember from the trailer. It's a really fast cut trailer with, sadly, bad music. Altough we got a little remix of the "Mission impossible theme" at the very end.

^Haha. Very true. But I checked out his post history and it seems he's indeed a theater projectionist (in europe btw) moreover his earlier description about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo teaser was quite the same with actual one. So I buy this guy's words. although one thing("Eminem" if u ask me) is hard to believe. haha

Agreed.

They still very well might. But the thing is they need inventory for next summer. All they've got so far is The Dictator for the second weekend of May and G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes for early August. My own personal guess is M:I 4 takes Star Trek 2's late June slot and the other two Paramount releases stay put.

The guy that originally said he saw the trailer has been back with more details.
Runtime - 2:17 minutes

- The Eminem song is: Won't back down ft Pink.

- The building that explodes in the beginning is the Kremlin building. It was bombed. They accuse IMF of the bombing so they have to escape.

- Jeremy Renner's line in the end is: "You're not gonna make it." Tom replies: "You're not helping." Then he starts swinging across the building side.

- The dialoge between Tom and Simon Peg goes as follows. They are testing a glove that can help you climb buildings. It has different colors on the fingertips.
Simon Peg: "Blue is glue."
Tom Cruise: "And what about red?"
Simon Peg: "Dead."

- The mission impossible theme is a rock/metal remix.

- There are a lot of scenes in Dubai.

- Party scenes are in the trailer. And we see a lot of girls and fancy cars.

- There's this scene were some cars crash into each other. Tom jumps away while a car bumps right over him and just misses him. This takes place in the dessert.

- The phrase: "Your mission, should you chose to accept ..." is being said.

- At the end it says: "This December".

eminem song???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I remember reading details of an exchange between Cruise and Renner from a 4 (?) minute footage screening. The real dialogue was

Renner: "You're not gonna make it."
Cruise: "No ****."

Not sure about the choice of song(although the lyrics and especially from Pink actually fits perfect for the movie&the Ethan character),But the description seems pretty awesome to me!!

eminem and pink? the two morons i hate...

brad bird is still attatched to this right?

It's just a trailer. Doesn't mean it's in the actual film.

Besides, Tom Cruise has an uphill battle trying to appeal to people under the age of 25. I guess this is their way of doing that.

Description sounds good, bring on the trailer.

According to this site, they have confirmation that the trailer for MI4 will indeed be attached to TF3.

I’ve confirmed with sources that the very first trailer for Brad Bird‘s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol will play before Michael Bay‘s robot fiesta. I’m waiting on word from Paramount if the scenes shot in IMAX will actually be show in IMAX in the trailer, but it does run 2 minutes and 15 seconds.

I can't wait to see the scene with Cruise nearly avoiding getting hit by a car , since the IMDB user said that scene was the most impressive shot in the trailer.
