It's a medieval fantasy-comedy that takes place inside a video game. It's called "Four Tanks and a Healer".

Some people know the work we've done before with "Batman's Gonna Get Shot in the Face" and "The Greatest Fan Film of All Time" but we're not working with Jacob Drake this time around. Now, we're moving forward with an animation team of 4 new animators.

We just wrapped on voice recording for the 3 minute demo that we're making before we start the actual project. Here are some of the designs. Obviously, they are in different styles but will all be formatted to fit the primary flash animation style.

We just got enough funding to start production! It's GO TIME.

Four tanks and healer...reminds me of my last PUG in WoW. :cmad:

Yeah, it's supposed to be a horribly unbalanced team who is forced to find ways past each scenario. They're constantly mocked by real teams and are the outsiders of the game. The losers.

FOUR TANKS AND A HEALER will debut on TheOneRing.net one week from today on Friday, October 14th! It'll pop up around 11am Eastern time but no rush getting there since it'll stay up after that! This is a 2-part mini-series designed to kick off the real deal soon. MMO geeks are gonna love it.
TheOneRing.net ! 10/14/11

Sounds like fun, can't wait to see it.

TheOneRing.net Presents: Four Tanks and a Healer

"Four Tanks and a Healer" is a funny, two-part series created by filmmaker Larry Longstreth ("The Long, Slow Death of a Twenty-Something", "Batman's Gonna Get Shot in the Face") under the watchful eye of "Lord of the Rings" executive producer, Mark Ordesky. The pilot episodes were created in the hopes that they will one day result in a full-fledged series.

"Four Tanks and a Healer" is an Adult Swim-style look at the lives these people live, from the sole perspective of their in-game characters. Taking place entirely inside an online roleplaying video game, the series follows a group of misfit gamers as they venture across fantastic landscapes and epic quests, all from the comfort of their real-life computer chairs.

At times funny and at times just plain pathetic, the show explores the geeky underground culture of fantasy roleplaying - from the amazing displays of imagination and wish fulfillment to the downside of having to play alongside socially-inept elitists and basement-dwelling cretins.

Episode 1: “In the Beginning” will be posted online Friday, October 14th at 11am Eastern.
