You know, it's funny how technology has affected things. Believe it or not, but this stuff is kind of common. Except that back in the day there wasn't a way to document it with your cellphone and put it all over the internet.

That was a pretty lame fight. I don't condone fighting, but we don't know their situations - maybe the other girl has been a jerk to the daughter and has been harassing her or something and finally they just decided to fight it out; if nothing else was working to get the girl to stop, beating her butt in public might've been the only choice left.

Yeah, I agree. Even the mom thing doesn't bother me too much. Sure, it's a little weird to see an adult cheering during a fight involving minors but, like I said, it's pretty common. A lot of parents have the mentality of "if they push you then you push them back." Even my mom used to tell me that as a kid.

Yeah, that fight sucked. I saw it on our local news yesterday and it was just a common white girl fight. Now if you wanna see two girls fight correctly you watch a black girl fight. That's one thing I miss about high school are the black girl fights. Those girls would tear into each other and the weave would be flying EVERYWHERE!

I think that mom got more in trouble for trying to assault the other kids watching the fight more than cheering her daughter on. In one of the videos they showed on the news a kid was running from her mom and they were driving away saying why her mom was chasing after people, etc.

The woman needs to take a few fighting lessons herself.

Not really bothered by the teens setting up a fight. When I was in school that happened all the time.

I am bothered by the mothers being there & not stopping it. They are the parents. No matter whether they agree with the kids or not. They need to set an example so they don't grow up thinking violence is the answer.

& if the parents felt that so strongly that this fight should take place. They should have just looked the other way. & went about there lives to hear about it later & play dumb about knowing about it.

I've seen a lot of fights in my life in my teens and the parent of a teen was in the background cheering his or her kid on. Because as a few posters have already said in this thread. Some parents raise their kids with the mentality of "If someone pushes you, you push them back. Don't take anyones crap!"

It's just that back when I was in my teens, which was the 90's, there wasn't camera phones and YouTube. People, these days, are getting caught doing some REALLY dumb crap because of technology.

My mom has that mentality too, but she definitely wouldn't stand there as two people get into a fight. She would stop it. She just said that stuff as advice to defend yourself in the streets. Not everyone grows up in upper class neighborhoods with white people.
