Moon

Nice pics. Very ****ing 70's.

Yeah Rac;

That's what I ommitted to say in my post - there's definately a retro feel to the pics.

And I totally dig retro (if it's done right).

True, i get a 2001, Silent Running feel when i see the pictures.

^Yeah, definitely a silent running vibe, love scifi movies from the 70's (my favourite Soylent Green, hope they never remake that one, it's perfect as it is)and I'm looking forward to Moon.

Thanks Octoberist for the link. Moon has been on my 'can't wait list' since I heard about it last year. Kevin Spacy as the voice of the robot is very cool to hear. Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors.

Like the isolated on the Moon plot. The 'I want to go Home' clip really makes me interested more in what this movie will be like. Not a space sci-fi fan, but this seems more inline with what I want to see from a space film. Isolation and the dark foreverness.

Which they'd give us a release date on this.

i think a distributor (like IFC, Fox Searchlight, Focus Films, etc) will buy Moon at Sundance, so we'll found out very soon.

Sony has Distribution rights for the US, but still no release date.

i agree that on the collider.com, the videos were so damn choppy.

Glad to see Rockwell doing something more serious(not saying I don't enjoy the comedies he's done).

This movie sounds pretty god, and the pics are really interesting, hopefully I catch this in theaters if not, I'll buy it on dvd. I didn't realize I liked this space movies so much until a while ago (Alien, Sunshine, Event Horizon) haven't seen 2001: A Space Odyssey yet I really want to.

LatinoReview posted its review from Sundance, looks like it's a very good film with the twist, the audience doesn't expect to get.

I dont' know the ending at all, but I'm willing to say the guy was some sorta stalker, had no life on earth and is just completely balls out insane within himself.

That or somehow Earth blows up and he's the only human left alive on the moon.

^^^

I am not sure about that, but it definetely won't be like 2001 or Sunshine at all, as it's more a drama rather than a thriller.

^^^^ My other guess is that something had gone wrong during one of his space mining jobs and it turns out he's been in space longer than he thought and was presumed dead. But I guess I'm not suppose to expect something like that so.....he turns gay and falls in love with his robot (kevin spacy's voice)???

^^^^Surely there isn't an Alien involved........But then again, the guy directing is Bowie's son. haha

I really don't care what the twist is, as long as I get to see this MOVIE.

^^^I keep posting replys about this. haha. But I'm pretty sure, in a dramatic way, Rockwell's character in all reality spending so much time on the Moon alone would have created a fantasy life for himself to cope with his lonelyness. And this is revealed by means of him knowing his time on the moon is coming to an end and his whole existance is in question because he's not the same person on Earth as he is on the Moon. I watched the clips of this film, and the moments with the Robot seem very strange in the manor that the robot isn't responding corretly to what Rockwell is asking/saying. As if the Robot has been confused and can't answer stuff Rockwell ask because no such thing has happened or exist. I'm sure that plays a role in teh film.
