Okay, just so you all know, I loved TAS, but it had a lot of major flaws. Now, Morbius has rapidly become one of my favorite Spidey villains, and about two weeks ago, they showed some episodes on Jetix from the Man-Spider/Morbius saga. I was pumped to watch the episodes, but as I were watching them I realize how they screwed up Morbius to an extent, and how campy the dialogue was.
I don't think they screwed him up as far as his look went and what not, but there were a few flaws that I really hate. For one, at first when he becomes a vampire he's all sad because he's not human, then he claims to love being a vampire, and after a few weepy lines from Felicia he's sad again. I don't think it's nearly as cut and dry as they made it seem. In no way would an evil being just become good because of a few weepy lines from an ex-girlfriend. Don't even get me started on the annoying accent and campy lines, we all know how horrible the dialogue was.
I'm hoping that if they plan to have Morbius in this show, that he'll be done more justice than before. I don't want them to make him too "scary" for kids whatever but I would at least like to see him closer to the comics than he was, and less of a wuss.
Does anyone agree? I'd love to hear any opinions on this.
