Which is smart.
That's what I mean when I say MK fans keep MK from evolving. If it's not the same characters over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again they get pissy. In a game that's about win or die.. It's about freaking time we have characters that die and stay dead. I'd be perfectly fine if the only characters from the last game that survived are Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny and Sonya. Bring on new characters.. create new classics.. Let the complainers complain because they'll end up buying it in the long run anyway.
None of that will happen though. We'll get old characters back either revealed through the year or pop up as surprises. Boon won't risk ticking people off.. even though I wish he'd be ballsy and do it. I was mad as hell when Scorpion wasn't in MK3... but oddly when UMK3 came out it just felt like.. I dunno.. Unneeded, by that time I was over it. MK9 had a good story and it really seems like MKX could as well.. Everyone needs to calm down and just watch the game.. Progress.
Thanks manHidey-ho Johnny, welcome to the Hype.
Cassie Cage?
so i'm guessing she's Johnny & Sonya's kid
LikewiseMy problem with Deadly Alliance and Deception were not just a bunch of new characters but was mostly the stories and gameplay,This seems like a new beginning more like MK4 and not DA&Deception and MK 4 is one of my top games in the franchise.
E3 2014: Ed Boon Talks Mortal Kombat X
I think that confirms that either Johnny, Sonya, or both are in.
really? what did he mention? I just dont have sound right now so I cant watch lol that would make sense since they survived the last game, but I wont use this to get my hopes up for the other klassic characters as most of them did not survive
You are correct, for as long as I've played Mortal Kombat fans have had a real issue in not moving forward beyond the first 3 games. Yes they were great and MK9 really paid homage to them in the best possible way. Now is the time for the series to move on, for a new generation of fighters and gamers to take the series forward. If that means pissing people off then so be it, the nostalgia crowd had it good in the last game, now is the time to either embrace moving forward or stick with what you love and stay with MK9.
