I heard that they'll be using Unreal Engine 3 for the next MK game. So atleast you can expect a drastic change with graphics. I think as far as new characters go - I think that it might be a good idea...even though Armageddon [imo] had some ****ty endings and the main protaganist had a ****ty ending as well. All that work and Konquest and all that for nothing? Boo. Well, I'm sure there will be a kick ass trailer for it. Armageddon's trailer was pretty nice I thought. Hopefully the opening and what not will be similar.

But the characters, I got off topic. They will need to have some original characters still I believe. How're you gonna alienate the fan base? Bring some new ones in, yes. But they'll have to keep the fan favorites.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Boon say that Scorpion and Sub-Zero will be back? Something like "You have to keep the ninjas?"

Boon had said that they were like the Ken and Ryu of Street Fighter. To me that is him hinting that they will return.
